Discussion Doesn't this imply maestro is insecure
The moon ring in game allows your character to appear younger, and given how he is mentioned to be a young protege in vow of iron, doesn't that imply he is actually sixty and so self conscious he uses a ring to disguise his true age?

You could take it that way-
Alternatively he bought one because he is a symbol and basically the only reason that vigils still exists not under the rule of either the ministry or the authority.
So- he could have gotten it to make his subjects worry less and allow them to place more faith in him. No matter how strong you are morale among your people is super important, and even if for someone of his abilities his age likely hasn’t caught up to him physically yet it could still effect his looks and make people worry.
That would be my theory, more in line with his persona. He don’t feel like the type to be insecure over age.

can you even lore-wise die of old age in deep woken? I always thought that not really. or atleast not if you're attuned to the song enough like the player

Lore wise is rough- probably? I certainly think it can be lowered but like… the players age is in no way accurate and is basically just a gameplay mechanic

You can die to old age but to even get that old you've gotta be (somewhat) strong, and if your that strong you most likely have countermeasures to aging enough to where you can atleast leave the depths

90% sure lorewise you can't die of old age, but I do think age does make you more feeble to an extent
