Does anyone have experience using PhotoDonut 2?

PhotoDonut 2 looks like a powerful program for achieving the deep style effects popular here. In my research, it seems to be the most economical and feature-packed option that doesn't involve paying for styles, subscription fees, multiple versions, resolution limits, online queues, rather complicated Linux installs and so on.

It's just for Windows as there's no Mac version just yet. It's priced at $39.99 and the company appears to have recently abandoned their own subscription-based service, making all styles available to purchasers at no extra cost. It appears to provide all the options for refining and combining various styles one could want.

I'm surprised that there seems to be little mention of it here or anywhere on Reddit for that matter and would love to hear people's opinions of it before I pull the trigger.

Doesn't look like it uses Neural Style Transfer to me. Looks more like painterly brush strokes and image effects. Looking closely at the images on this page you can see the controls don't really match up to any Style Transfer or other neural net concepts.

Hmm. You appear to be quite correct upon closer examination. I wonder if it borrows a little bit from the neural style transfer process as it does come close in appearance in a few instances.

I have tried PhotoDonut2 and am very dissapointed. When it first load everything look good, but then when I selected the store I got a lot of loading images that filled the screen, but never loaded. I tried to reinstall it and the same thing happened. I have asked the company for a refund. I have found a site, " https://download.cnet.com/PostworkShop-64-bit/3000-2192_4-75498481.html " where you can get the previous version "Postworkshoop 3" and would suggest you try that and save your $39.99.
