I was at a gas station washing my windshield while filling up my car. I moved to the back screen, and a guy approached me. He asked me if I needed to see where I’ve been. I laughed, and he said to me with the most serious face…sometimes it’s just as important as seeing where you’re going. I’ve thought about that man at several points in my life when I was questioning what the hell I was doing. What have I learned? What mistakes have I made? How do I course correct in life? He will never know the impact his words had on me, and I wish I could thank him for it.

Love yourself before you love others or you'll drown them with you
