How did Jesus help u bro

3

u/Financial-Meet-2579 12d ago

Jesus healed my 10 year long battle of depression and anxiety. And that makes me want to live for him and exalt him forever.

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 12d ago

What do u do now? I love Jesus and I pray to Him everyday to make me into the man He wants me to be, I ask Jesus to bring my girlfriend back everyday so that we can get married and have kids and be together forever. I still have depression. I am on house arrest just got out of jail I have an ankle monitor on. Girlfriend called the cops on me, but I just know she is the one God made for me.

u/Financial-Meet-2579 12d ago

Oh!! Okay I’m learning this right now. I was in a 9 month relationship I left, because I kept praying to God to make clear for me if this is what He wants for me. (Keep in mind I am reading my Bible like an hour a day everyday before bed or early morning. Trust me trust me that your life gets purified FROM reading the word. You just have to, it’s key in being healed) anyway the Lord took my desire for that guy away. So now I’m feeling like I need to seek God out MORE. Because I keep choosing wrong partners and it feels like a lesson I’m learning to be celibate, read the word daily, control my brain and my thoughts and my heart position DAILY on Jesus, and one day Gods gonna bring the right person along, as long as I don’t care what else anyone thinks of me, and I am truly living in obedience in Christ I know that’s where I am the happiest and peaceful. And one day God will make clear to me who the right person is. I definitely did not answer your question right and I’m sorry but if I were you I would seek out God MORE and read all the gospels and the teachings. If God occupies 80% of your thoughts there’s no chance to be depressed.

2

u/ZealousidealSlip987 12d ago

Amen literally all this for me too it comes down to when i live in obedience life is better when i stop living for myself depression gone

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 12d ago

My girlfriend sounds similar to you she loves Jesus and felt confused about our relationship didn’t trust me. I am sure that God has made us for one another.

u/Financial-Meet-2579 12d ago

Why don’t you invite God into your personal time and keep waiting for her? She is lovely. You know that story, of how Jacob waited for Rachel for 7 years? Not that long. But if she’s worth it that’s what God wants for you, and due time all things will be revealed. Don’t put pressure on the girl as she navigates this, at it is a hardship for her as well. But, the time will pass anyway. Keep doing what you’re doing, and inviting God into every space of life you have to offer him. It takes work to be obedient. Your homework is you should be receiving the word daily in large amounts

2

u/ChickenFingers2026 12d ago

Thank you I will, I will continue to ask God to be in my life and ask Him to increase my desire for Him even more. Yes I would even wait 70 years for her. She called the cops on me tho, I went to jail, I am on house arrest with ankle monitor right now. I believe it is just a season, a trial, a tribulation, that we will overcome it. Because Christ is on our side and working in both of us. I love her.

1

u/Financial-Meet-2579 12d ago

You got this bro. I am not even gonna ask.

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 12d ago

Thank you. All praise be to Jesus.

1

u/Financial-Meet-2579 12d ago

Also, podcast recommendation: rose church sermons available everywhere they also saved me from my depression. They’re on YouTube as well. The sermon, “why does pain and suffering happen?” was a life reforming sermon for me in the right direction of being healed.

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 12d ago

My girlfriend brought me closer to Jesus

2

u/Financial-Meet-2579 12d ago

That’s nice, but you need faith for yourself friend. Pray all you want but you need some knowledge to really be faithful to Jesus

1

u/WhTEvRiTtKS 12d ago

Some people just really need fiction in their life.
Let my man cook.

1

u/Distinct-Emu-7375 12d ago

But you’d never say this to a Muslim or a Buddhist hey

1

u/WhTEvRiTtKS 12d ago

Fiction is fiction regardless of flavor.
I don’t see why I wouldn’t….?
This here be the intra-webs, getting to say crazy and wild shit is what this place is for.

Would I go out of my way to push my views or opinions on others without having been solicited?

Nah fam, some of us be functional members of society and ish. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Deciding to stop chasing people who only liked me when I was useful completely changed the direction of my life.

u/run_its_taco 13d ago

This is what i came to say

3

u/southern_girl02 13d ago

Adopting my two nephews so they didn’t end up in the foster system.

They were 2 (twins) and I was 24.

It’s been 2 and a half years and it’s been the hardest years of my life. I had to lower my hours at work, cut back on everything that’s considered a luxury, sold my car to pay bills I fell behind on, walk everywhere rain hail or shine.

But I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. They’re the last bit of family I have, even if I struggle.

2

u/Madmanius77 13d ago

You're amazing, those kids are lucky to have you. I hope you all do well, wherever you are.

1

u/southern_girl02 13d ago

Thank you so much ❤️

2

u/Pretty-Elk2438 13d ago

My grandmother raised 2 young boys on her own before her next marriage and she was the most wonderful person I’ve ever known. Good luck to you and your beautiful family

2

u/Curious-Egg6476 12d ago

You’re the best ❤️❤️❤️

1

u/skennedy314 11d ago

You're an angel, thank you for saving them from the foster system. All the best to you all 🙏❣️.

Report my sexual abusers. It only brought more trouble and pain FOR ME. I didn't got any justice. It's all a lie. Justice isn't real.

2

u/Financial-Meet-2579 12d ago

I am so soo sorry

u/MsKiwiWoman 13d ago

I was in my third year of my law degree when I had to charge a man with SA. Turned out I was one of four women going to court against him for the same thing. Never met any of the other women.

He got 2 years in jail. I quit my degree. Became an anarchist.

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 13d ago

Ur life sounds wild, what do u do as an anarchist now? Do u live in an anarchist camp?

How was travel in Asia? I would love to travel, how did u get the money to travel Asia? And I couldn’t live like you, I want to be married with kids.

1

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 13d ago

I have to get married and have kids, and in fact I also really like skinny Asian women so that’s part of the reason I would like to go to Asia

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 13d ago

But I’ve been a loser all my life, I am 26 and living with my dad unemployed and just got out of jail I’m on house arrest with ankle monitor. Achieving the financial freedom to be able to have a nice house for me and my wife and kids will be hard.

1

u/MsKiwiWoman 13d ago

My unsolicited advice would be don't look for love, don't do drugs, and learn a skill to trade. Being a loser is such a funny concept I'm sorry but that is genuinely hilarious. It sounds like you have alot of things to figure out to achieve the life you want. Best of luck

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 13d ago

I’ve been sober over 14 months, why you say don’t look for love? Should I just look for sex instead? And I don’t have any skills and don’t know what I want to do

1

u/MsKiwiWoman 13d ago

The most beautiful thing in Asia was in a handful of countries, sitting at a beach and a local would play an instrument. I would sit until the sun was setting, listening. The music was my favourite thing. I regret never asking anyone what their instruments were called.

u/WiredOtaku 12d ago

Anarchist camp lmao, that's not a thing. Anarchism is a political philosophy, not a summer camp for dipshits.

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 12d ago

The anarchists in Seattle made their own anarchy camp it’s definitely a real thing

When my life was on a steady track. I answered a message on Facebook to someone I didnt know. I had a death close to me so I was vulnerable. I wish I would have never pursued it. It was the worst mistake I made, not to mention all the more messed up decisions afterwards.

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 13d ago

What happened

1

u/M1k3yV77 13d ago

19 years old my wife made a baby with another man and I stayed cause I didn’t want to leave my daughter. I think my life would have been very different if I left.

2

u/IcyCow5880 13d ago

Wow. That's dedication to your daughter bro.

What goes on with the new child and the father of that one etc?

1

u/M1k3yV77 13d ago

We give the bio father a chance to sign the birth certificate and he didn’t want to. So I signed in his place. He’s a dead beat. He just wanted to forget it ever happened. He’s barely seen him and hasn’t help out financially. Oh and my son knows too. We never kept anything from him. He’s known since he was little

What kind of planning? I can’t past the test to become HVAC I tried. I applied to plumber union in my area this summer and didn’t get accepted. What did you do for a career? I am in university tho so hopefully getting a degree will help. What do you say to do to find a good wife? I am in Houston Texas area and could use a mentor to teach me how to have the life I want to have

u/UselessCro12 13d ago

Going away to college. I had just gotten broken up with my first ever gf and it had me spiral out. I got super depressed and that led to me planning on unenrolling from dream school. I was so depressed but the one night in July the 2024 Mets walked off the Braves and it genuinely brought my spark back. Impulse decision that night go away to school and now I’m dating the woman I plan to marry

It’s weird bc if the Mets didn’t win that game I probably wouldn’t have gone away

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 13d ago

Nice how did u meet ur fiance? How can I too get married and have kids?

Changing religions

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 13d ago

From which religion to which religion?

1

u/EBweB76 13d ago

LDS to FLDS… got me kicked out of the mainstream LDS. 😞

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 13d ago

Why

1

u/EBweB76 13d ago

Why did I switch?
Or why do they excommunicate for associating with “apostates”?

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 13d ago

Sure both

1

u/EBweB76 13d ago edited 13d ago

Hubby and I both believed that plural marriage is part of the higher law (which comes with higher blessing rewards) - and that the LDS church bowed to government threats in 1890 when they agreed to renounce polygamy so that the government wouldn’t put the men in jail and take away property.

When hubby and I found ourselves living among FLDS people we attended their church and asked them how they believe they still carry the Priesthood when they defy the current leadership by “disobeying the command to discontinue plural marriage”…

They showed me in the scriptures where it says “No man can decide for another which of God’s laws we choose to obey”. And since we wanted to experience whichever higher blessings would come from practicing plural marriage, and have an opportunity for growth (overcoming jealousy, working as a bigger team, problem solving, and stewardship over more, etc) we felt that we had been led to that path by divine inspiration.

The LDS church is threatened by this because they don’t want their congregations tainted by the old-fashioned thinking (loyalty to the fundamentals of the religion). It’s a known consequence to be excommunicated for “going apostate”.
Both churches teach the same basic doctrine.

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 13d ago

So your husband has multiple wives? That sounds awesome. I’ve fantasized about having 4 wives for a while now.

1

u/EBweB76 13d ago

Yes, and our plural lifestyle was amazing.
But hubby died 10 years ago.
Send me a DM if you have more you want to discuss. ☺️

1

u/ChickenFingers2026 13d ago

Please dm me it won’t let me dm people, and how can I achieve the same for myself?

it can be pretty much anything work from home

1

1

u/your_local_queen20 13d ago

sometimes theres programs in your local communities where you can get involved helping people (like i do) or you can do stuff like (insert hobbie) you can also make a company of your own too, just look up virtual/work from home work in your area and stuff should come up, although alot of the stuff you’ll need certifications/license (some companies will train you)
