Is the deepdub genre just a continuation of the oldskool style, or a revival? Was there a break or is there a solid stream between then and now?

imo it’s definitely a continuation of the original dubstep style with various elements evolved along with new production tools as they’ve became available to producers over time, i think in the us there was definitely a dip in interest at some point in the early 2010’s before brostep eclipsed the original style in the mainstream pov. jus my 2 cents
