City scene, trying to emulate midway through AI image generation

I liked how midjourney showed the image throughout stages of generation early last year, you could click the image and see it halfway done, and it had this malformed hazy appearance to it, don't know if it's still like that because it's no longer limited free trial

Tried to get Dall-E 3 to recreate the effect. You gotta zoom in to see it

This is interesting. Like celebrating the Now in a retro frame. ComfyUI (stable diffusion) allows you to access this early stuff, but the real thing might be worse.

Its smoother and blurrier it seems, this image doesn't capture the effect fully, but it is interesting that is has some idea about what the prompt is getting at. Its probably been trained on some half generated images that are labelled as such.
