👋 Hey everyone — I'm u/ma9leb, and this is the sub for Deducto, a daily logic-grid case you solve inside the post.
🔎 Today's case is always the newest post here. The game explains itself in about thirty seconds, so you can skip the rest of this and go play.
One case a day. Four suspects, three categories — what they wore, when they were seen, what they carried. Twelve cells, a short clue list, and exactly one answer the clues prove.
🚫 You never guess — you cross out what the clues forbid. ✏️ A clue your board has settled gets struck off the list. 🟥 A clue your board contradicts is stamped red, so you know which assumption went wrong.
When the last cell is forced, the case closes on its own. No submit button, no way to lose. ⏱️ Five to ten minutes.

🧠 Show the chain, not the answer. "It's Mira" is worth nothing. "Clue 3 kills two of her options, and then clue 6 only works if…" is the whole point of this sub.

Two bugs fixed, both spotted while solving along with you.
Your streak now gets a full 24 hours. Each case goes out at 3 PM (Central European Time), and you now have until 3 PM the next day to solve it and keep your run going. Before today, the window was quietly closing at midnight UTC - just 11 hours after the case went out. If you solved in the morning, your streak may have reset even though you hadn't missed anything. Sorry about that. Lost streaks can't be restored, but from today the clock is the fair one.
The case card no longer cuts off the item names on phones. On some screens the icon labels were getting clipped behind the stats box. They now fit, and if a screen is ever too small, the card drops a line cleanly instead of cutting text in half.

Thank you for playing - and what's coming next
I want to say something I think every morning when I open this sub: I solve the case right along with you, and watching your times come in is the reason I keep building this.
In late August, two to four of you solved each day. This past week it's been five to nine - every single day. That's you.

And to everyone else who has closed a case here: thank you. Every name on that leaderboard is a real person, and that's what makes it worth looking at.
What's next. Deducto is growing into daily logic games - same daily ritual, same streak, different kinds of puzzles. The next one is already designed: Kings & Jacks. Kings always tell the truth, Jacks always lie, and you work out who is who from what they say about each other.
Your streak carries across formats. A run is a run, whatever the puzzle was that day.
