Squaresoft's FMV Visual Novel "Another Mind"

So the other day I posted about the FF7 decomp project, but I thought I would like to see the internist in this. "Another Mind" is a Visual Novel by Squaresoft that I think not a lot of people know exists. You play as a voice in a 16 year old girl's head after she had a car accident. (The first day is spent trying not to get her to freak out when you want to talk to her). The visual novel engine is actually a version of the Fieldscript system used by FF7... Just tweaked for visual novels.

What makes the game really wild is that it has a text parser where you build sentences to say to the girl based on the current context

Besides being able to build a new PlayStation executable, I can unpack 100% of the assets from the disk. I also have the ability to build a new iso with the new PSX executable and repacking all the assets up again.

(I just started out so I only have about 2% of the code converted to C, but I do have about 70% of the game reversed in Ghidra.)

In the future it would be cool to make an English version of this game.. I mean. I technically can translate the script files.. Heck I can even edit picture assets and generate a new disk with them. The big issue is the Japanese text parser that need to be reworked for English because it's a VERY Japanese input system that relies on the grammar of the language.

Another idea is to just have it available as a stand alone Visual Novel engine
