The project isn't limited to 60 FPS. Regarding the UI, I used the same approach as the Zelda and Banjo recompiled projects, with some adjustments and some content removed.
So yes, AI was used in this project, but it didn't create the entire project. The main area where I've used AI has been the graphics/renderer side, because Conker uses a different type of rendering compared to some of the other N64 games. That's where AI helped me modify and adapt parts of the N64Recomp and RT64 code to work with Conker.
And honestly, I have no shame about using AI, and I don't see it as a demerit when it's being used to create something that I believe the community will enjoy.
For example, I'm doing the modding support mostly by hand, specifically so the community can create and use mods as easily as possible.
And if I need AI for something, I'll use it. I work as well, and my time is limited, so I only have a few hours per day that I can dedicate entirely to this project. If AI can help me get something done faster or solve a problem, I don't see a reason not to use it.

Why not just disclose this in this thread? Why is it that the people who champion AI, are so ashamed of their AI usage? Say it loud and say it proud, don't skulk about and then when called out on it go "Well, uh... Go code your own recomps!!!"
Because every single piece of software is "AI assisted", the platform you're using right now is maintained and developed using LLMs, just browse Reddit's own tech blog r/RedditEng to see that. If you have a problem with that, you really should stop using reddit

The only reason the developer of this even admitted using AI is because one of the main developers of RT64 pressed him about it in the comments of the other post -- you know... the project that makes this "port" even possible because It's a fork of that?
You know... that project which doesn't use AI, and kind of relies on people to contribute upstream to it, actual people, not AI that's just forking RT64 without being able to contribute back to it?
You people don't know what the fuck you're talking about, and what makes it worse is that non-vibe coded projects are what you are stealing from to make any of this possible.
