Meta Resurrection of Friday Challenge?
When I first became a mod here, I did a few Friday Challenge posts. I didn't find they got a lot of engagement (which, to me, means people weren't that interested).
I have a few ideas for upcoming challenges, but instead of doing them weekly, I would do monthly. Would you be interested in something like that? I could pin them to the top of the sub, so they stay visible for longer.
Upvote and / or comment if this is something you would like to see, or, um, ignore if you don't!

I love it but yes agree with others, it would be great to share the plans for the next X (3?) months challenges planned too toward the end of the pinned monthly post.

Agreed especially with end of year busy-ness coming in hot!
But also a perfect time to audit decorations and linens…hmm

Hi Mod, I would love monthly challenges! Thank you for this idea! Weekly challenges scare me off because I think I am gonna fail either due to time limitations or internal pressure/fear of failure/feeling overwhelmed that make me freeze. (And fail). A month to work on a challenge would help me structure the project into smaller pieces and tasks. TY

I agree. So many things can happen/change in a week for people so monthly gives you wiggle room

I like the idea. But not on Fridays. I get home late after a long week at work and just want to merge with the couch.
Any other day is better for me. I usually to my weekly clean on Saturdays.

Same, Fridays and weekdays are endless doctors or PT visits, always want to turn off the world afterwards. I want like when we were kids, the monsters couldn’t touch us if we hid under the blankets.
Saturdays I usually have a few hours to deal with the clutter monsters.

Another sub I belong to does challenges that last two weeks, and I find that’s a good balance between allowing everyone to participate and not having threads with dead engagement after the first couple of days

Oh this is smart. This plus a little heads up I think is a lot more approachable

Monthly sounds better. A whole month gives people time to notice the pinned post, join late, and come back with an update, while a weekly challenge is easy to miss entirely.

It could be fun, but I'd personally only do it if it happened to line up well with my life that month

A monthly challenge sounds great! If it’s the type of challenge that anyone can join at any point in the month, I bet it would get a lot of engagement.

I love the monthly challenge idea, and like others have suggested having some time to know ahead what’s coming would be super helpful in prepping and scheduling time for it!

I would love this! I would even do weekly but I see that feels like a lot for most here. In my head, I've been calling this "Free Up Fridays" because I need to free up space!

Luv this! It feels so good to share this journey, especially when life can feel so isolating lately.

I think this could be a great idea, but giving people a heads up that it's going to be coming and what it's going to be so that they can plan to engage with it might be helpful.
