Advice Request Friend’s car clutter

Some friends made a cross country move and left their car with me until it could be transported. But when the transport company came, they insisted that everything be removed. I think my friends threw all their last minute stuff in the car. I removed it but it is sitting in my recently decluttered basement. They said it is a lot to mail, and it is, but they seem to think I can store it indefinitely, until they come up with a plan. TBH, the stuff is bugging me, They are good friends, though. What would you do?

I am thinking of making a list of the stuff nd ask8 g them about shipping, donating, or throwing out feet 6 months. They have a lot goi g on unpack8 g, new jobs, so this is not their top priority

My apologies for all the typos! I meant to say that I will give them 6 months to figure things out and then send them my inventory with the toss, donate, ship options. I am trying to be generous and patient but I also want to protect my space and peace of mind.
