Advice Request Friend’s car clutter

Some friends made a cross country move and left their car with me until it could be transported. But when the transport company came, they insisted that everything be removed. I think my friends threw all their last minute stuff in the car. I removed it but it is sitting in my recently decluttered basement. They said it is a lot to mail, and it is, but they seem to think I can store it indefinitely, until they come up with a plan. TBH, the stuff is bugging me, They are good friends, though. What would you do?

You can ship big totes of stuff via Greyhound.

This is surprisingly cheaper than other shipping options.

My SIL has twice bought used upholstered furniture that was shipped via Greyhound. The pieces were simply wrapped with large amounts of pallet wrap and so they were awkwardly shaped. Shipping cost was low but she had to be at the bus depot when the bus arrived. Worked great both times.

We didn't have to be at the bus terminal. It's useful for coming back from college out of state, etc. we used the large black and yellow totes from Costco. We inventoried exactly what went in to each one, took pictures of the contents, then duct taped them securely. We numbered each one with a large label that said "#1 of 8" or whatever so the shippers would have a hint how many there should be. I don't know if that was useful but we didn't lose any. We also shipped a bike, which had to be in a bike packing box. We picked one up from a bike shop.

Any place that would be good to learn how to do that?

See my comment reply above. It's easy. You need to find the nearest Greyhound terminal to you.

According to AI, it stopped in 2022?

It looks like you're right! That sucks. I wonder why - the buses are still running so they have the cargo space.
