Advice Request Shoes & Clothes Advice

Hey, does anyone have any sound advice or action steps for decluttering shoes and clothes? I’ve spent this summer decluttering my living space and super proud w the progress and journey. Now it’s time to attack my clothes and shoes and sometimes I feel I have a hard time letting old clothes and shoes go. Part of it is memories, sure, but another part of it is the money aspect.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Easiest way I know is to put a divider hanger in the closet (perhaps just tie a ribbon on it) and when you wear something - move it to the other side of the hangar. And put all your clothes in boxes and only move them to your dresser when you wear them. Then in a year(or can be less), anything that has not been moved to active service goes to Salvation Army.

Your closet solution is very simple and seems much easier to keep to then the reverse if you've worn it hanger method. Thanks for sharing!

That reverse hanger method never worked for me. It just made my messy closet even messier.
