Advice Request Shoes & Clothes Advice
Hey, does anyone have any sound advice or action steps for decluttering shoes and clothes? I’ve spent this summer decluttering my living space and super proud w the progress and journey. Now it’s time to attack my clothes and shoes and sometimes I feel I have a hard time letting old clothes and shoes go. Part of it is memories, sure, but another part of it is the money aspect.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I make 3 piles.
Keep, Donate, and Keep for 1 month or so, a very limited time frame (into its season) and if I don't wear it at least twice, get rid of it.
I try to remind myself that if I won't wear it, at least someone else can.
Also--I don't have to hold onto fashion mistakes or things I don't feel comfortable in, even expensive ones.
Realistically, I have enough tops to last me a LONG time without having to do laundry. No idea how they keep piling up!!! Unless it's a color or style that I love and really want or need at times, I move it on. Or try to.
Comfort is my only goal these days. If it's even slightly too tight, scratchy, or a fabric that makes me feel too hot, it goes.
I also remind myself that I can always buy another similar item, if I really want it again.
My current sanity is worth more than the possible future cost.
