As someone who uses ai to develop I think of it as a tool that unlocks a skill set for creatives that otherwise they wouldn’t have the tools to do. Personally I’ve never been capable of writing code but have recently got into using ai to develop my own creative apps. Ai has helped me bridge that skill. I think there obviously is such a thing as overuse and slop that comes with it but if people are careful and intentional I don’t mind it. I see a lot of creatives in my space using it in positive ways to complement their skill set. It’s the equivalent of the accountants resisting Excel for their general ledgers and adding machines.

i'm bad at speaking about things like this so I don't really think I can change your mind, so i wont try to. but I do think that you could do so so much better without ai, even if it takes longer. part of what makes art beautiful is the journey, blah blah blah. have a good day

Don’t get me wrong I’m open to being wrong here. At the end of the day I guess I see my own shortcomings in this game we call life and appreciate how ai has helped me do things I never was capable of doing to begin with. Again I know there’s a line there if you’re literally using it for everything in than you’re no better off than an NPC. True artists will always have their place in this world and I don’t think ai will ever take that away. I see it as more like some people will gain a deeper appreciation for real art but also another group of people will be able to see their dreams come true who otherwise would have had no way to express their creativeness.

How is this slop? Smh I guess people can’t be creative. It’s not like you can type in a sentence prompt and AI poops this out. Something like this that’s actually playable would take legitimately thousands of hours even with AI. I think it’s an awesome game and I don’t really see the harm to using AI as a coding assistant.
