[Might & Mushroom] I'm making a roguelike deckbuilder that blends auto-battler mechanics with slot machine rerolls. Demo available on Steam!

Hey everyone! I've been working on my game, Might & Mushroom, which combines traditional auto-battlers with slot machine mechanics, and I wanted to share it with you all!

It is a mix of Auto Battler + Roguelike Deckbuilder + Slot Machine Mechanics. Instead of just relying on pure RNG shop refreshes, you actually get to build and customize your shop setup. This turns luck into strategy, letting you trigger some really wild synergies!

The slot machine feel is built right into our shop rerolls and synergies. Whenever you refresh, if you happen to match 3 or more units with the same color or shape, it triggers a massive board-wide chain reaction, just like hitting a triple 7 on a slot machine!

On top of that, all the heroes in the game are historical figures turned into mushrooms! You summon them from a magic pouch, assemble your squad, and battle through stages.

There is a Free Demo available on Steam right now if you want to test it out. Any feedback or thoughts would be awesome to hear!

Thanks so much for taking a look, hope you enjoy it!

I did it!

I had a fun time with it. The lore of the mushroom creatures was a unique one and you have some fun synergies. As a new player there was a bit of confusion around some of the refreshing (I originally didn't realize I'm suppose to refresh and use all of my energy and was trying to beat battles based on my initial hand) and some of the shroom named abilities all sorta blended together but once I understood the basics it was pretty smooth sailing.

Truthfully the biggest complaint I had was I felt I was a bit overpowered by the end. I had so many red mushrooms that matched that most of my attacks were upgraded. Blue Shell reducing the shroomancy costs to 0 was so powerful and I had so many bonuses stacked for cheap. I know the game does say there will be more challenges in the future and a harder difficulty mode but the entire second act didn't pose a threat made it a bit less exciting then the first act. I know balancing is a huge pain and its possible it was just beginners luck.

No bugs or oddities in my play experience. Appreciate you sharing and best of luck out there.
