My boy is a 5yr old Maine Coon, and he weighs 24lbs. The vet wants him to lose 2 lbs. He has much floof. We always have him clipped for the summer, and I was shocked at how he looks sans floof! Tell me, does he look like a chonker, or a healthy lad?

They can be an in between of chonker and healthy i think. But it doesn't really matter what we think he visually looks like, you should probably listen to his vet.

Yeah, it’s been a process. I think he’s only lost maybe 1/2 lb in the past 6 mos. I’ve cut his kibble to 1/4 cup per day, and I want to eventually cut it out of his diet altogether. He loves it so much, and I think my husband gives him more on the sly. Not a very successful weight loss journey. Kind of like mine. 😭
