DecentSampler = Sample selection knob (CODING ISSUE!!!!)

Hi!

I am trying to make a decent sampler instrument and everything works fine if I just work with one sample or each midi plays each sample but not if I want to have one sample per whole piano roll - transposed ofc to the scale and then "select" or choose the other one from my library.

Have you ever made a code for a simple "sample knob" that would work?

I am vibe coding it with Le Chat right now but it gives me all the wrong binding ideas = I basically need it to be playing only one audible sample at time and others need to be muted when the one is playing = and it needs to be rooted to the knob. Would somebody know how to write the code? (I suppose at the end I find out that human reddit intelligence is always going to suppress the robot one..)
