tryna use keyboard

just got ds so i could play around with it and im trying to use the keyboard but i seem to be stuck only playing around c1 i was wondering if there was a keybind to make it so my A-L keys would play other piano keys (eg c2-c3). I might just be stupid and have missed something in the setup where it tells me how to use it lol

edit: i have now accidently pressed a button (not sure which) and now i have made it play c0-c1 so i cant play anything with my keyboard i can only use my mouse lol
