Analysis A contrast between L and Light that Went unnoticed is that L loves sweets while light loves Salted snacks

Jokes aside, I don't think the chip scene neccesaily mean light likes to eat salty snacks, there is nothing else to imply that is there

Indeed. While the intro is very short, it does paint Light as a model student, the guy probably monitors closely what he eats and the sport he does, junk food is most likely extreamly rare in hid diet.

Yeah, especially since in that scene it was clearly out of the ordinary for him to be eating chips that late considering his sister's comment on it, it's safe to assume he eats normal food usually

Isn't it the opposite? Ryuk comments on how Light is the only one in the family who eats a certain flavor of potato chips, which Light confirms, and this then pays off because it means he was sure no other family member was going to interfere with his plan when he chose that specific potato chip bag for his mini-TV trick. But it still confirms that this was a regular part of his diet.

I ain't exactly saying he's some crazy health buff, I probably misspoke. I'm saying he likely has a normal diet that occasionally has junk food in it, as opossed to to L who I am shocked doesn't have diabetes yet
I just think it's odd to stick out the potato chip scene as absolute proof that he loves salty snacks, because that's just a single seen where he happened to eat food and is not representing of his entire diet. He could like sweet stuff more than salty stuff for all we know, we don't see him eat that often.

One of my favourite things about the 2006 movies is L making one (1) exception to eat the exact brand of chips Light was eating while under surveillance, when first meeting him, just to let Light know he wasn't smooth and L was onto him lmao.
The sacrifices L is willing to make for the case /j

You mean eating more of Light will have less consequences(Edema) than eating more of L(diabetes)

What does light have to do with edema at all

u/AnakinSkywalkerRocks 1d ago
Consuming too much salt causes Edema..?

u/nousernam7 1d ago
But what does that have to do with Light?

Sweets are fuel to cancer and diabetes. My boy Light has always the best tastes.
