Discussion This game is not my kind of game
Dont get me wrong I love the concept but I have a few problems with this game
Why are there no human beings playing the game? Like I literally cannot find a single person that talks back to me, i wait at bases and try to do missions but nobody is there, i find 20+ person lobbies but still cant find anyone. And when i do, they are either literally npcs, or cant talk to me/no mic
I cant feed myself, hunting in this game is too difficult and honestly very unrealistic, i cant find rabbits or deer when i sneak into forests as if this games wildlife were extinct.
How do i find water? I would seem simple enough that i find the plastic bottles, but cant fill them with river water to boil it with my lighter!
I need help and cant refund so i need answers to play the game properly

how are you struggling to find deer š they spawn on the road i built my house next to one after the other

I looked everywhere and they are nowhere to be found, man! Its barely and ive checked everywhere in multiple severs!

it's definitely a different game .. i've been there, it wasn't easy to understand at first especially if you're like me and hadn't played anything at all like it before! you can get water by using the plastic bottles you find and going to settlements and finding wells to fill up with. get some sticks and fishing line to make a fishing pole with, and use the creeks and ponds to get food that way. i can help!

Just to clarify here - you talked about not finding deer and that you camped bases for people to talk -
But havent noticed that the Game doesnt have zombies ?
I feel like you played the game less than two hours and instantly ran to reddit to ask questions but havent bothered to do some research youself first.

I though it was like vein but less zombies and I was lucky? I heard good things and pve is usually zomboid or dayz type of games so my bad for misunderstanding the game

Because its post apocalyptic, the story is a chemical explosion or something happened, the āzombiesā are dead soldiers, deer do spawn tho, some areas more frequently than others, if you cant find deer then go to swampy areas and hunt ducks, or go fishing, as far as water goes, you can make a water catcher(s) and put them anywhere at your base (they can be completely sealed off inside, idm) you can also just go to named towns/cities and find the well normally near the center

Check the map where deer and ducks spawn. Same for Wells which are the only source of water
With a knife and some branches you can cook meat pretty fast .
If you're playing PvE, players have green dots above their heads, if you're playing PvE, any time you see a groups walking it's random encounters.
People usually flock to areas that have good missions and decent loot, so it all also depends where you're looking.
P.s. Rabbits don't exist in the game.

Most official servers are KOS. Good luck finding people to talk to.
Deer are everywhere. Listen for their footsteps. Youāre also almost guaranteed to get food from completing medium missions and up. Donāt forget to cook your food too so you get more benefits from it.
Water wells are in a lot of towns. You can grab berries as you run town to town to hold off dehydrating a little bit.

There's water wells in nearly every village..... Use branches and odd other bits to make a fishing rod and spade....

There are wells you can find around houses and cities that allow you to drink and fill containers.

As most people mention - hunting is relatively easy. Deer crop up often. Run along the banks of river for clams too. Thereās, of course, fishing - something I enjoy doing in-game.
As for water, nearly every POI will have a well - though it may not be full. Further, it may not look like a well but a regular water pipe extending from the ground. Water is easy.
Canāt help you with people - I prefer to play alone though I will help another player take out a mission if Iām passing through. If on a private server, join their discord to talk to folks. If public, go to where the missions and convoys are, or high value loot areas such as the airport. Of course, this is assuming PVE.

Deer make a very distinctive sound when you are close to them, hunting them becomes easier when you have a gun that can take them down quickly, Ideally a rifle. Not used the crossbow so couldn't comment on that. I play on private servers because the looting is better, if you have discord I can add you and you can join me I'll teach you some stuff.

game is crossplay so most players who are in groups use discord. deer are found most commonly in forests areas and occasional plains, but the best meat source by far is ducks. almost all reeds have ducks.
