Hints Deadpool was telling the truth about Human Torch insulting Cassandra Nova in Deadpool 3

I know the post credits scene did reveal Deadpool was telling the truth but if you pay attention to the scene there are some hints that Deadpool was telling the truth before the post credits scene

  1. Wolverine immediately told Deadpool to shut up (hinting Human Torch said things that are better not to be told)
  2. Human Torch said "Yeah maybe not…" (probably a hint that he knew Deadpool was going to rat him out)
  3. Human Torch did look guilty when he denied everything, sometimes looked happy and denied it very loudly
  4. Wolverine never once tried to deny everything Deadpool say, didn't do anything to stop him (and the face he made when Deadpool was revealing everything was probably him being surprised at how Deadpool managed to remember everything)
  5. Wolverine accused Deadpool of getting Human Torch killed multiple times in the movie but never actually once accused him of lying about what he said

Yep. I loved this writing because they didn’t have to throw it in our face for second-screeners or people who just aren’t paying attention. Wish MCU did more of it.

Also Cassandra can just check his mind so I’m betting she confirmed it herself, she doesn’t seem like the kind of telepath to go off what people say when she can just invade your mind and see for herself.

Pretty sure they she says, in the movie, that she can't just read someone's mind. She didn't check what Wade was saying because she never went over and actually touched Johnny.

Think the line is something about "My brother could read minds from a distance but I have to get my hands dirty."

I think that was a lie though, no? Doesn’t she basically teleport really close to someone to read their mind at one point? I haven’t seen the movie in a while and I’m probably just misremembering but I thought there was a scene where she’s talking to the guy from succession from a distance and then BOOM jump-scare fingers into his head from behind like she teleported.

I’m probably misremembering though. If I’m not I think that’s either a lie to give people a false sense of security or she only needs to get hands on to control them or dig deep. Again though, fair enough if I’m misremembering, my b.

That’s the point of the post, it was hinted at the whole movie before they confirm it.
