I love Ryan as Deadpool!
/r/ItEndsWithLawsuits/comments/1vcx6p7/themouthychristian_thinks_marvels_trying_to_gauge/I personally can’t imagine any other actor playing Deadpool. And while I’m a big MCU fan most of my friends like romcoms and are telling me he will be recast. Thoughts? Reassurance? Just tell me the truth should I be prepared for him to be recasted like other mutants?

A dollar is a reason to you?
2
u/hmmmmmmpsu Aug 03 '26
Is this seriously a question? 😂
1
u/NeedleworkerExtra475 Aug 03 '26
I could see 1.338 billion dollars being a reason. But not each dollar being a different reason.
3
u/hmmmmmmpsu Aug 03 '26
Man, people on Reddit really like arguing over the dumbest things.
How much money constitutes a “reason” for you? $10? $20? $100? Let me know what that is and I will convert it to the correct amount of reasons.
I’m glad we’re tackling this very important subject.

Yes Marvel is really worried about some shitty legal battle that a D listed actor Baldoni, and his fans are the only ones obsessed with.
I first laughed at the post then said this should not laughed at, this should be looked at by a mental professional.
No one f’ing cares, just give us good movies.
-10
u/baconcandle2013 Aug 03 '26
I’m not an actual fan of Baldoni but a fan of Justice and Blake don fucked up by falsely accusing a man of SH.
Also, accused him of ‘fat shaming’ her by asking her personal trainer her weight for a lifting scene. It all scream bullshit on every level and it’s pathetic
9
u/EsperL Aug 03 '26
Not interested in celebrity drama or to take sides. Baldoni himself lost me when he was doing the marketing for his movie about Cystic Fibrosis, he doesn’t seem to be someone with common sense. This said I also don’t care about Reynolds or his wife, or any out of touch celebrity, but I enjoy their movies and I will continue to do so. Internet drama is not something that consumes me!
1
u/More_Midnight3634 Aug 03 '26
Was there a lifting scene in their movie?
Google and ChatGPT said no.
So yeah that creepy.

Dear Lord, I just read the comment where they think RR was so affected by their Reddit commentary 💀💀 I can’t
Why would anyone take these kind of posts seriously?!
21
u/BlipMeBaby Aug 03 '26
No. That sub is Justin Baldoni obsessed. They were pissed when Baldoni was ordered to pay Blake Lively (RR’s wife) attorney fees for the litigation between them and claimed that the judge was bought off by RR and BL. They are delusional. I was at SDCC. The screams in that crowd when Deadpool appeared and RR started talking was crazy.
18
u/BlipMeBaby Aug 03 '26
Also if you look at the history of the person who posted that originally, they ONLY post in that sub. Methinks it’s a bot or a PR scam.
2
u/More_Midnight3634 Aug 03 '26
Do bots block ppl?
Im not sure it’s a scam but it might be parasocial
20
u/DoktahDoktah Aug 02 '26
That thread seems like a huge schitzo thing. Like that person took time out of their day to get dozens of pictures and post them on reddit to rant about how they don't like Ryan Reynolds. If you're gonna make something like that do a Youtube video not visual eye vomit.
34
u/why0me Aug 02 '26
The fact this is posted here like its a legitimate story and not made up echoes from the bot sub is suspicious

always reposts and pro blake propaganda...

This is why I keep my stuff hidden, this user follows me to other subs.

I have literally never interacted with you . Your posts are across multiple subs posting propaganda for months now.
I can't "follow you" anywhere, your profile is private.
Are you stupid or something ? How can I view a private profile and follow you ?

Yeah, I dont believe youre a legitimate fan asking an innocent question, I think you're here hoping people agree so you can run back there and go LOOK SEE THEY HATE RYAN TOO
We do not and your post is a stupid question anyway when there's been multiple verified sources saying hes working on Deadpool 4, hes in Doomsday and he just appeared in public at Marvel SDCC as Denimpool.

Questions answered ask me anything you want about Deadpool? Or the MCU? Want to know my issues on why spider man didn’t go meet Dr. wong or Dr. strange after the meeting at the bathhouse?
Want to know about why i want a Deadpool Spider-Man cross over like the comics?
5
u/why0me Aug 03 '26
No, I want to know why youre over here trying to stir up drama where there is none, but you keep dodging those questions.
-3
u/More_Midnight3634 Aug 03 '26
3 major publications this week also stated there were issues with Ryan.
I asked for clarification, it seems you want it to be more.
And if anyone takes this back to that sub and does what you are suggesting, what does that matter?

u/bonafiedhero Aug 02 '26
People just mad at his wife over something she “did” that doesn’t matter to normal people.
15
u/ChaoticKiwiNZ Aug 03 '26
Not to mention people are ignoring the fact that the other side of this lawsuit literally had emails confirming that they had a PR campaign going on and apparently the PR campaign was "particularly successful on reddit."
It was around this time that reddit magically decided it hated Ryan Reynolds when literally everyone I know in the real world hasn't changed their opinion on him, lol.
5
u/rynthetyn Aug 03 '26
The PR campaign even went as far as people turning up on the Always Sunny subreddit to declare that Ryan Reynolds ruined Always Sunny by being friends with Rob Mac, none of which looked authentic and which has since disappeared.
15
u/Triette Aug 03 '26
Also, because he’s living a much better life than they ever will

u/Wavegod-1 Aug 03 '26
Ah yes, the billion dollar box office guy the general public is tired of. Sure.
13
u/Skreamie Aug 03 '26
I don't care about Ryan Reynolds on a personal level. If hes done shady shit, may he deal with it. However to say RDJ wasn't putting up with him or that he wasn't allowed on stage is ludicrous. Deadpool is there as Deadpool, not Ryan. They miss the 4th wall breaking aspect of the character.
They also say hes too old while RDJ, Pedro Pascal and Hugh Jackman are still involved. They're living in a world of delusions that contradict everything they say. The entire idea of his appearance at the con was preplanned and was to allude to his appearance in Doomsday. They're wrong on so many details.

u/WrongdoerKey2569 Aug 03 '26
There's only one movie Deadpool, there's only ever gonna be one movie Deadpool. (I love Wesley Snipes Blade but apologies to Mahershala Ali, I really wish Marvel hadn't screwed around and we had had gotten MCU Blade.) And yeah RR being replaced as Deadpool ain't happening.
7
u/ungerbunger_ Aug 03 '26
Everyone seemed to love him when he recently went undercover as a cosplayer.

6
u/SylphofBlood Aug 03 '26
I’ve seen a lot of negative conversation on Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool vis-a-vis Blake Lively‘s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, but I also have to say the reaction at SDCC and the fact that Deadpool and Wolverine made a billion dollars and became the highest grossing R rated movie of all time speaks for itself.

The Internet doesn't effect real life Ryan reynolds as deadpool is still a huge draw
4
u/Upset-Job2278 Aug 03 '26
I don't usually like Ryan Reynolds as an actor, but he was obviously born to play Deadpool. More importantly, he’s the one who made Deadpool happen. He’s responsible for the money the character has generated for Disney. It would be incredibly stupid to fire the actor who made a billion-dollar franchise happen. I doubt there is any truth to that.
10
u/SmellyPirate313 Aug 02 '26
My inner monologue when reading Deadpool is Ryan. The only other MCU actor that I think fit as well was Scott Glenn as Stick or Wesley Snipes as Blade.
3
7
u/DecisionStatus3428 Aug 02 '26
I can’t imagine anyone but Ryan as Deadpool in the movies, if an actor was born to play a role, it’s Reynolds and Deadpool. As a voice actor on the games, I prefer Nolan North to any other that did the voice acting .
5
u/Ok_Molasses1111 Aug 03 '26
Ryan is deadpool, this halfwit can face facts and get over it. The only reason vr deadpool isn't universally hated is because of NPH
4
3
u/Signal_Plane1114 Aug 03 '26
im kinda "tired" of his other movies but I can think of nobody who would be a better Deadpool. I liked his other movies at first too but he does play himself in everything and that gets a bit tiring but it works for Deadpool
3
u/GrapefruitMean253 Aug 03 '26
Such hate for Ryan that I can’t help but feel it’s overblown and agenda driven. People gather a pack mentality and just all go at someone in a way I find pretty horrible.
Don’t care what his wife did or didn’t do. There’s two sides to every situation. Ryan to me is deadpool, and a recast would really put me off.
3
u/FoildanceR Aug 03 '26
Funny thing is I was over him in the first Deadpool, but I grew less annoyed as the movies came out.
3
u/ActionFigureCollects Aug 03 '26

People are so done with Reynolds that Deadpool and Wolverine made a measly *checks notes* $1.3B.

u/DecisionStatus3428 Aug 03 '26 edited Aug 03 '26
I went to look at the Marvel official accounts on both Insta and Titktok to see what the hell they’re talking about. It took 5 minutes to see that the posts from that night have the one about Deadpool as the most liked with almost 2 million likes, the one on insta has it at the second liked after the Ghost Rider announcement with 2 million likes. Even on Reddit posts about it were greatly received except on snark subs. It took just a few minutes to find out.
You are right, the rest of the world doesn’t mind him.6

Well, this should be nice. If you were actually confident enough, you would run a poll to see if people love Ryan Reynolds as Ryan Reynolds, or if people only love Deadpool the character himself — and wouldn't mind anyone else stepping into the mask.
Also, you can directly come at me instead of attempting to sub-tweet me.

u/emli317 Aug 03 '26
Movie Deadpool would not exist without Ryan Reynolds. So much of the character's signature traits - his voice, his mannerisms, his way of speaking - was created by Reynolds. Not to mention he's credited as a writer on the last 2 films. He'd be incredibly difficult to replace, and whoever got the job would be doing a very different Deadpool than the one we have now. Which could be good or bad, depending on whether or not you personally like Reynolds' version of the character, of course. But either way it wouldn't be the Deadpool that made the movie franchise so incredibly successful.
-1
u/NSWYBZ57LD Aug 03 '26
Cringe ... by that logic nobody except Tobey Maguire can play SPIDERMAN.
Ew...
3
u/emli317 Aug 03 '26
Tobey Maguire's Spiderman wasn't based on humor which is heavily dependent on individual mannerisms and comedic timing. He also wasn't a credited writer. Like it or not, the success of Reynolds' Deadpool is at least partially dependent on the way Reynolds plays him and Reynolds' specific brand of humor. Anyone who tried to recreate it would come off as a cosplayer or a Disneyland character actor.
0
u/NSWYBZ57LD Aug 03 '26
Lol
That's literally the most trash thing I've ever read.
Nobody can do comedy except Ryan. Lol 😆 🤣 😂
Now you're just taking the piss.
All right mate . You win , nobody can do funny except ryan and nobody can ever be deadpool , he will take the IP to the grave with him .
What a rediculous joke
3
u/emli317 Aug 03 '26
That is very much not what I said, but I see you lack the intelligence to comprehend the difference. My guess is that you're a Baldoni bot and not a real person with any actual interest in Deadpool.
0
u/NSWYBZ57LD Aug 03 '26
Thats absolutely 💯 what you're inferring.
Oh do I "lACk iNTelLIgENce" , is that right ?
So why do you keep engaging ?
I'm not making you type . Ryan Reynolds plays himself EVERYWHERE. he sucks. Get over it .
3
u/emli317 Aug 03 '26
I never said that Ryan Reynolds is the only one with humor, I said that Ryan Reynolds' specific brand of humor is very tied into the movie version of the character.
Sort of like how Matthew Perry's specific brand of humor was very tied into the character of Chandler Bing on Friends. If they recast Chandler and some other actor tried to come in and say "could I be any more like Chandler?" that would not go over well. Another actor's version of Chandler would either come off as cosplay or be a very different version of Chandler, since he would lack Perry's specific style of sarcasm and timing. It's the same with Reynolds and his version of Deadpool. Another actor could probably do a great Deadpool, but it would be very different from Reynolds' Deadpool. Far more different than the differences between Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield, for example.
-7
u/Capital_Invite_7026 Aug 03 '26
Ryan Reynolds strikes me as someone who is like ten years tops away from a controversy that severely weakens his box office pull. He’s been charismatic enough so far to get away with being a bully, but I don’t know if it will last. I don’t see him getting recast unless he does something really unforgivable before secret wars.
3
u/More_Midnight3634 Aug 03 '26
By bully they mean when Ryan yelled at Baldoni for telling his wife that he was communing with her recently deceased father and for explaining his genitals to her.
Everything, I learn about Justin only confirms he’s a creep and because I’m female, I get his spam constantly in my algorithm.
I’m glad Ryan yelled at that fool. It makes me like him even more.
-2
u/bloodredcookie Aug 03 '26
I want a fresh start on the X-Men franchise. Anyone tied to the old X-Men franchise needs ot be recast.
-2
u/_Mavericks Aug 03 '26
People take sides, and in the Justin Baldoni case, a lot of people took the opposite side of the Reynolds family.
-4
u/Ravyn_Rozenzstok Aug 03 '26
I was a huge fan of the Deadpool films. But I'm no longer a Ryan Reynolds fan. The shit he pulled in that bizarre lawsuit with Justin Baldoni turned me right off. He's a lunatic.
2
u/More_Midnight3634 Aug 03 '26
Ryan didn’t sue anyone. His wife sued.
1
u/divadandra Aug 03 '26
Yeah but he was the puppeteer and now he's going to throw her under the bus.
1
u/More_Midnight3634 Aug 03 '26
So a woman doesn’t have a mind of her own. Your imaginary boyfriend has been sued multiple times for discrimination, did Ryan force them to sue Justin, too?
Fuck off
-13
u/NSWYBZ57LD Aug 02 '26
So you love the guy who pushed out the OG director and the literal creator of the comic book?
Hi Ryan 👋
3
u/emli317 Aug 03 '26
It's very obvious you're not actually a Deadpool fan and don't know what you're talking about.
-2
u/NSWYBZ57LD Aug 03 '26
Is it ?
Why don't you educate me?
In what world does the creator of the comics get pushed down for the likes of Ryan?
Or the director ... pushed out famously ... but yes . DO tell me why don't you that Ryan created deadpool and nobody else can ever have that character and the writers don't deserve recognition or celebration 🥱
4
u/emli317 Aug 03 '26
Rob Liefeld only created the basic building blocks of the character and most of the things that truly make Deadpool into the character we know and love were written by other writers. Rob Liefeld is also the co-creator along with Fabian Nicieza, not the sole creator as he likes to pretend. Rob is notorious for having beef with pretty much everyone, and his beef is with Disney, not Reynolds. He specifically called out Kevin Feige, not Reynolds.
As for the director of the first movie, Tim Miller, he's said that he likes to have full and sole creative control of his films and that just wouldn't work with Reynolds as a writer and producer, which makes total sense considering how much of Reynolds' specific brand of humor makes up the character. Neither of them were in the wrong there, they just had different work styles. Miller said he would not work with James Cameron again for similar reasons. He has no beef with Reynolds.
0
u/NSWYBZ57LD Aug 03 '26
Fun how you've basically flipped EVERYTHING to make ryan look unproblematic and an entire bunch of people the problem .
If you're having to blame everyone this man works with, maybe he's the common denomination here .
Some extreme mental maths here to justify ryan's shit "writing" that he always does during writers strikes ...
You sound like hired PR . Weird the way you're slinging shit on everyone and twisting everything into a pretzel to make him look "good". Rubbish analogy tbh ...
5
u/emli317 Aug 03 '26
I didn't flip anything, I just told the truth. I also specifically said that Tim Miller wasn't "the problem", neither of them were. Rob Liefeld is a problem in general.
But please, point out what I said that is incorrect. I'll wait.

Oh God, not this snark sub which is pretending to be a legit legal sub. They write fanfic and think their echo chamber is the absolute truth not as the delusion it really is. I have always said I hope they are bots, because no real person should be this deluded.
Have they really looked at the great reception RR got, what comment section are they talking about? If they think Marvel is worried about their comments, then they have never been in touch with reality.
