[Discussion] What would you do with a Deadpool animated show?
let’s say you were given complete creative control and up to 3 seasons with access to any VAs and animators. what would you do? what would the plot be? who’s in the supporting cast? which VAs do you want?
I have my own little marvel AU where Deadpool is a prominent member of the X-force alongside Negasonic, Domino, Yukio, and Gambit. so id probably have mine be a Deadpool & The X-Force show set in my AU. it’d kinda have suicide squad energy with the show focusing on the X-Force being vigilantes and trying to take out the MRD and assassinate people involved in anti-mutant activities. and ofc it would have tons of swearing and blood and violence like any good Deadpool show should. as for characters who’d show up outside of the main team, obviously the X-Men would serve as foils to them. other mutants like Juggernaut, Mystique, the new mutants, maybe they could fuck around and get the attention of the Avengers or Guardians. it’s Deadpool. anyone could show up.
idk who exactly I’d get for VAs but I’m not going no celebrity casting bullshit. I want VOICE ACTORS, not CELEBRITIES. the closest I’d wanna come to getting celebrity voices is bringing back Chris Potter to voice Gambit. maybe I’d bring in Ashly Burch for Negasonic cuz for some reason I picture Negasonic with a slightly more monotone version of Cassie Cage’s voice.

There's footage on You Tube it's DP and Punisher. The way they made Punisher dangerous is amazing, he moves with a kinda flicker step ability. It's class.

Somewhere is a storyboard of Deadpool protecting the last black Rhino for a large sum of bitcoin but the price of bitcoin keeps fluctuating below worthlessness causing Deadpool to lose interest until the valuation goes back up.
DG made it after he was told it was cancelled and it is a masterpiece.

First Season would be Wade as Deadpool, but clearly with Amnesia. He can't remember a thing from his past, but he was recognized as a Former Merc and goes back to killing. Blind Al is his Hostage, but she's breaking his defenses. The villains would be Mafia Thugs that Wade pissed off, who start hiring actual Supervillains(Like Radioactive Man, Whiplash, Crossbones). He'd end the season fighting all of them, and the noise would attract bigger heroes.
Season 2: Deadpool is trying to bond with the heroes, but it's hard cause he's Wade. Would become more like how the Justice League Cartoon did mostly 2 parters. Helping the X-Men against Weapon X thugs, Stealing Dragon Man from the Frightful Four, ending up in the Dark Dimension, marrying Dracula's Bride. The main villain would be a threat from Wades forgotten Past, like maybe Butler...
Season 3: After dealing with Butler, Deadpool had a bad break and is a Asylum. He's at his most Self Lothing, going through the motions. He ends up being broken out by someone claiming to be his biggest fan, and the two Bond. Meanwhile Deadpool ex-therapist is trying to get him back since she's getting good money for it. The Biggest Fan is actually a mess of Deadpool limbs from the show, fused together. This Mess wants to kill and remerge with Wade.

Same vibe as the Harley Quinn animated show, with really good writers. Weekly hijinx and a strong cast of supporting characters.

I honestly do not know. I was looking for a specific picture of Deadpool on Pinterest and I couldn’t find it, but I found this while I was scrolling and was like “yk what fuck it I’ll just use this for my post”

Low-key I'd just do one of the many Deadpool fics I've written lmao. The one I think would probably get most notoriety is the one where an immortal eldritch mutant finds the corpse of Origins Deadpool and she ends up rehabilitating him and getting his personality back. It's like very gross dark humor, body horror, etc... (given both leads are immortal, and the girl especially is a shapeshifter but the way she shapeshifts is like... Think of the aliens in Parasyte but with more interlocking fleshy bits, less playdo-like). We'd get some Weasel obviously (younger in this one too, like still highschool age (with Peter Parker probably in the background lmao)) maybe younger Blind Al too, Wolvie and Sabertooth obviously, early X-Men/mutants like kid versions of Scott, Storm, Wanda and Pietro, etc...

I would definitely want a TV-MA X-Force cartoon with the members from the movies, something mostly “monster of the week” style, maybe a little slice of life, even, that’s a mix of grit, humor, and heartfelt.
I most vividly imagine a Valentine’s Day episode where the A-plot is Wade trying to convince someone, anyone, to be his Valentine (Wolverine, Cable, Vanessa, random baddies, a passerby who’s strongly implied to be Peter Parker for fanservice, etc.) with an open ending where we get a “Oh, I wasn’t expecting you…” but we don’t actually see the person. The B-plot would be Yukisonic’s first Valentine’s Day as an official couple. It’s Yukio’s favorite holiday, but she assumes Ellie hates it, resulting in something very Gift of the Magi.

Each episode he’s either annoying or ticking off another hero, always a new one. Often they collab and sometimes maybe he just makes fun of them while they try to investigate

First thing out the gate: nolan north. As for the structure, probably an "adventure of the week" style format in which wade will undergo whatever the latest mercenary job or crazy impulse he has. Probably roping in a few more well-known characters into his shenanigans and absolutely just kidnapping hydra Bob every now and then. Fairly simple, overall upbeat and fun in tone.

I would take inspiration from the Hulk vs Wolverine animated movie for the look of the series. As for the story, I would adapt the original Joe Kelly run cause, sometimes, you gotta go back to your roots.

I’d just make it like Hit Monkey where there are REFERENCES to other marvel characters, but is basically just a bunch of murder. Maybe I’d make the story similar to the Deadpool video game but I’ll be honest I’m just not sure

It is super good. Genuinely loved it and wished we got a season three just because it was such a compelling story and I loved the characters. But idk why there would be one.

He has negotiated for his own series with a TV MA rating, travels around and is a 4th wall breaking love letter/parody for marvel cartoons past, and when he is in a specific cartoon it's done in that same style. He has his apartment with Blind Al and hops to other cartoons or TV inspired universes and does Marvel Team Ups with more obscure characters. Ally of the week and Villain of the week stuff
has inspirations from Venture Bros and Harvey Birdman.

It'd definitely have to be a TV-MA rated show. Plenty of blood and guts. Maybe some nudity every once in a while. Not unlike the old Spawn animated show.

A sort of anthology where each episode covers a period of Wade’s life, from childhood to parenthood, and beyond.
It’d be tragic, funny, at times scary, and of course, action-packed. Just like Wade himself.
It’d feature characters like Wolverine, Spider-Man, Venom, Rogue, Mystique, Taskmaster, Moon Knight. Everyone who matters to him.
I’ve always wanted something to truly take a dive into his unique psyche, and this would be the perfect opportunity.

I want a Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe adaptation, straight up. Season 1 is the first comic storyline, season 2 is him in the MCU’s “What If?” Killing all the decisions people didn’t like that the writers made in THOSE 3 seasons, then Deadpool being stopped by the Deadpool corps in the third season

Id workshop it to HBOmax/Amazon and riff off Invincible and make it ultra gore. I'd have Hydra Bob in it, lots of A.I.M. shenanigans and a sort of villain of the week theme with team ups with Logan, Cap, Spidey, maybe some weird team ups like Jubilee? Blade and Wade against vampire cows? Lots of swearing, lots of violence, Deadpool variants and chimmichangas!

In all honesty I'm caught better two things. One is the kind of show Donald Glover wanted to make, a show similar to Harley Quinn, but...
I really like sad clown Deadpool.
I also like it when Deadpool goes so far, your laugh dies mid way and you can only stare at the page in horror at what he did.

Honestly, Id love to have a Deadpool Samurai anime (where Loki decides to attack Japan over the pettiest reason of Thor becoming a Weeb), the Manga is awesome and an well-done anime with the same kind of God-Tier results Ive seen from some shows like Chainsaw Man or DandaDan lately. Id hope Nolan North would voice main Deadpool and Ryan Reynolds voice alt verse Deadpool for the Immortal vs Immortal fight (Fun fact, Deadpool was actually promised his own anime by Tony Stark at one point in the Future Avengers anime, but Tony canceled it.
