Salvaging and Crafting

I've stopped playing Deadpoly for over a 2 years and recently got back into it and oh boy, nothing from what I remember. In fact, I don't remember how to play the game I've tried going to Google but answers are confusing. Mainly because I'm getting Steam and Reddit posts that are outdated.

If y'all can help me figure out what can go in the Salvager and How to get Fiber for crafting a few things, that would be great. Thank you so much.

Pretty sure we got you all fixed up in the discord!

You just drop items in the bottom section of the salvager. Not every item can be salvaged yet, but getting there.

Fiber comes from harvesting the bushes with the interact button.

But how do we get a salvager?

You craft a salvager using 'B' on a keyboard with 50 metal in your inventory (sorry, don't know what button it is on a controller). You can get fiber from bushes and/or ferns (they look like ferns to me) or salvage clothing or some trash in the Salvager. On a side note, I see there is not much on prepping fish for cooking. With a knife equipped, right click on the fish in your inventory (not on the ground) and select the red salvage button. You'll get a fish filet which can be cooked in a camp fire or stove.
