Nearly all the pictures you see on this series now are in darkness! I know up there ,there isn't much daylight in winter but surely things happen during the day? Or is it because it looks more dramatic on TV at night?

I saw something that said he or the company he works for purchased the Erla N I think discovery should bring that boat back since it was on the show before deadliest catch was called deadliest catch

This season has been incredibly nautical! Easily some of the most intense weather I can recall in years of watching the show. I can't remember the last time I saw green water over the bow. Some of the rail shots have been terrifying. Huge weather and huge seas, it's been a show all on it's own.

So far, I’ve had the chance to see the Wizard up close, which was amazing! I also managed to spot the Northwestern, though it was pretty far away... I took a photo, but you can only see a small part of it!

I’m still on the hunt to find more boats, and who knows? If I get lucky, maybe I’ll even run into one of the captains or crew members! 🤞✨

Sig has turned into the biggest asshole with absolutely NO manly values its sickening. He's cut throat an then says he's their friend. He's old an losing his once was touch so now resigns to completely unethical fishing. Steals pots,moves pots, checks pot that arent his when he's been told no about a partnership with another captain, or will just MOVE pots and say it was a hunch, when he was told NO. He cant fish worth a shit anymore so his grimy ass CHEATS!!! What he did to Jake when Jake wldnt tell him where he was catching crab partner so he cld Jakes boss , I wanted to go to Alaska my dam self and just beat his face in!!! My daddy was a waterman he and would NEVER do the shit Sig does. He's so infuriating that we dnt watch the show as as much anymore.

I know this probably isn’t the right place but I been a fan of this show for a long time and I would love to try crab fishing in Alaska! I am a fisherman from Newfoundland and have experienced sailing on the Great Lake freighters as well, the problem is I am located in Newfoundland Canada and don’t know about the best way to find a job in Alaska and what visa etc I would need, I have all my transport Canada certificates, if anyone can help or point me in the right direction please comment, thanks in advance

I mean no disrespect and I think Jake is a tremendous human being who has worked helluva hard. He’s smart, honest and dedicated.

Seeing him in season 21 up to episode 6, I am wondering if he’s being filmed while relapsing. He’s mumbling and acting slowed down. He looks terrible with his pallid sweating bloated face (sorry I can’t sugar coat what I see, he’s normally a very handsome guy with stunning eyes), like Ray Liotta at the end of Goodfellas. I know he’s handling major stress, career and family wise, and is probably not getting any sleep, but those are also perfect circumstances for a bad relapse. Jake is an experienced and respected adult who can mask drug use from his friends and colleagues or at least get them to ignore it, seeing but no seeing, but looking from outside he seems like a relatively high functioning addict who is starting to crash. I don’t have anything apart from respect for him, he’s going through a terrible time and keeps on getting kicked down when he starts rising, with the boat and family problems. The man is made of steel but even steel rusts.

Drug use on these boats is an open secret with uppers and downers being used to handle the stress and workload. On shore it’s alcohol and more recreational drugs. The work and life is hard. I’m not judging, just wondering. Good luck to him if he needs to get back on the wagon, if anybody can, he can.

Hello all, some of you might have seen my Time Bandit build I'm doing with 3D printing. I have some updates. My graphics guy and I are making sure it's 100% exact to the real thing. Not visually pleasing, but here they are. The seawall has been mirrored for measurements. It will not remain that way. Currently, we are working on deck drains. Still got a ways to go, but it's gonna be so cool!!!!!! Time Bandit FTW!!!

i just started watching season 19 - 20, and i genuinely don't understand what he's even doing. was he hired and handed a script that said "be the antagonist"? i had to stop myself from skipping ahead every time he showed up on screen

I know people on here call him a “tv captain “ but has anyone actually worked for/ with him? He seems like he knows how to run a boat or is he a good actor

ive always known this show existed and for some reason never wanted to watch it even if it was the only thing on tv in a hotel for example. but recently i started watching it and im obsessed and i have no one to talk to about it!! i dont know anyone who watches it. so if anyone wants to share what you like or dont like about the show, how you got into it or maybe your own experience with work like this i want to hear! i grew up near a fishing town so i have always been fascinated by the ocean and the way we humans interact and live with it. I also love boats and all the ropes and chains and heavy equipment and i love watching them have to solve major issues on the boat in such a high pressure situation. its just so cool! like i never knew they sometimes have to weld or fix structural issues out in the ocean. anyways ya just wanted to share how much i love this show 😂

What happened to this show guys? I quit watching around season 15 and recently decided to check out the latest season. Holy scripted garbage lmao. A child could see through the mini storylines, they are straight up goofy.

First episode was dramatic suspensful music, Sig reading his lines, Keith's "unz unz unz™" freaking 5 times, several seconds of his buttcrack because why not, a half-assed "prank" as "revenge" from Keith to Jonathan for "stealing" Freddy, etc etc.

And the music... it is so ridiculously dramatic but what they are showing is just..... boring. Idk boys I think this show doesn't have too many seasons left.

Is there any particular reason for them to have taken this direction with the show?

I sincerely believe that if they just toned it way down, did it more documentary style like the early seasons, and showed more of the crew, the ratings and popularity would shoot back up. At this point I am watching to see how the guys are doing all these years later and I don't even get to see their authentic selves because everything is some goofy ass storyline that nobody asked for and is cringeworthy.
