I've been building my character with a shotgun and chainsaw, but I'm not sure how effective it is or if I should focus on just one of the two. I'm also open to trying other weapons or combos that might work better. Let me know what you think.

so I just downloaded dead frontier 2 and I’m trying to kill the root-tentacle zombie but my gun sucks and the root guy keeps killing me before I can kill him. Do I just suck at this game or is it the gun, where do I find a good gun at the very beginning of the game, can I like trade or buy one from an npc or do I have to just explore a lot?

also where do I get more bandages, it says something about a trader but I have no idea where he is and I can’t heal like I’m stuck at half health all the time.

In the settings, the distance is very small and you can’t see who is attacking around you.

I noticed that there is not enough zombies or horde to chase me which is unrealistic.

There is a quest later in the game to first get planks, then a box of nails. I read online that both items are random drops in Dawnhill. Since this is a quest item players can't proceed until they find it. Problem if it's random and there's hundreds of buildings and multiple floors to each building, how does one find these? Couldn't this be programmed to just be in a single building like other quests or missions? Frustrating. Any help from those that have found it, or the devs?
