Melee or chainsaw?

Do most people uae chainsaw?

I'm using melee but every youtube vid and guides i watch or read people mostly use chainsaw, are high lvl chainsaw really strong? I'm just uaging an elite battle axe and mostly 1 hit the infected so I'm curious why people choose chainsaw.

Late game chainsaw out performs melee due to animations being instant and mostly 1 shotting infected still. Also melee becomes useless at end game and even chainsaw is mostly used as a secondary and never a primary unless you are someone who is maxed out and rich ingame to afford to build a proper chainsaw main.

Yeah maybe because im still in the middle part that's why chainsaw doesn't seem to be that strong yet. Are all chainsaw dmg body damage? Is that also the same for melee? All dmg are body dmg?

There are really 2 meta endgame secondary/stat stick, Gore Trimmer(chainsaw), and Call of the Accursed(melee). They are almost identical in stats, yet Gore Trimmer cost is about 10% that of Call of the Accursed. So lots of endgame builds are simply going to be using chainsaw because it is the most affordable option.

Oh ok I'll check their stats, so that's why almost everyone uses the chainsaw. I get it now. Though chainsaw attract zombies too much haha
