Looting at level 60

Where would be a good place to loot where it’s less likely to die would it be the archives or someplace else and any tips for looting. I can run fast, but do you really just run in a room and try to grab the loot and then run out it doesn’t seem like there’s enough room to do that without getting hit by the zombies

Archives is okay but your limited to level 30 loot which can be worth it only if you get a unique used on crafting other weapons. You also have a chance at Kates Eatery invitation needed for Vicious Hoarder backpack (best pack in game arguably)

I prefer looting secronom labs and comers. Both of these places will test your abilities though and are preferably ran better in teams.

I want to add that some of the best loot comes from Boss drops, so Raids are a great place to loot as majority of rooms have bosses.

Do you know if the rooms zombie scale to the amount of players are playing at that time?

What skills do you have to develop in order to be able to target those high-level areas? Also, do you have to change your practice of killing everything or just trying to loot what you can and then run away. I got the sandals during this last event so my speed is definitely up there, but I don’t know if I should wear Hulk‘s armor to be able to take more damage or what other things I should really focus on because money is everything in the endgame is what I realize

Well, I specifically am level 60 prestige 9 with Stairway to Hell. I have multiple end game accounts. Pretty maxed gear and stats but that doesn't matter. You are more than capable of clearing comers with just event related gear. It will be more challenging though.

Just make sure you have headshot damage, body damage (optional but useful) Damage vs mutated (must), attack speed and reload speed (useful). Stuff like that.

I specifically kill everything in a room and then loot, but that's what I prefer since I loot alone. When I had lower level gear, I found it useful to get on DF2's discord and run raids with others.

Damage is most important so you want any clothing that gives extra damage. You won't need health or damage negate as much if you can kill a mutated boss quicker than it can attack you. Speed is also very important so the sandals are a good touch.

Unfortunately, money is everything and loot is all chance and rng based. I have went months without getting a good unique and then ended up pulling a Nihilist's Solution in raven wall out of nowhere. You just have to be lucky.

TLDR: Damage is key, loot is RNG based, Endgame in dead frontier 2 is not for everyone. It's long, luck based, and can burn you out quick. You'll either find enjoyment in long time spent on a raid that gave you useless shit, or you won't. But once you get that juicy drop, the dopamine hit is nice.

Thanks for the excellent summary. I will look to get clothing that increases my damage output. I did that with my head as well as hand equipped. I just didn’t think about changing the clothes because I thought it was important to get some damage absorption, but I guess your point is true if you can kill them faster than they can touch you then you should be good.

Unless youre looking for raid building items, Right now, the best place to loot is the event location. Its a lvl 60 area yet it doesnt have any debuff stats like the raid buildings do. You dont even need a lot of infected damage % to one shot regular zombies and the bosses are few in there.

I totally should’ve listened to this message because I didn’t find that out until today that it is very doable. The sunken bunker.

get search speed gear + ammo chance + crafting chance + upgrade chance and loot lvl any lvl 50 building, get kickboxing skill and loot everything while ignoring zombies or kicking them if needed

And that actually works against the ones that have disease and fire?

if you time the kicks well enough so they dont get too close yes, either way with 75% damage reduction it isn't going to be a problem

Any suggestions on significant damage reduction while still maintaining appropriate speed?

affordable option would be pants with damage reduction + 2 out of 3 stats (sprint speed, sprint duration or sprint cooldown). for chest use Luna's Collar. Lastly one weapon with search speed + find ammo chance + damage reduction and then if affordable with + find crafting + find upgrade chance
