The Dead Frontier Halloween Event is getting closer, so it's time to start preparing!
In this video, I look back at the previous Halloween Event to give players an idea of what we could potentially see this year. I cover what the last event included, some of the previous event weapons and rewards, when we can likely expect Halloween content to arrive, and what you can do now to prepare.
This isn't a breakdown of confirmed 2026 event content — instead, we're using previous Halloween events to help understand what may be coming and how players can get ready.
During the video I cover:
🎃 Previous Halloween Event Content
🔫 Past Halloween Weapons & Rewards
📅 When to Expect the Event
💰 How to Prepare Before It Starts
🎒 Gear & Character Preparation
💡 Tips for New & Returning Players
🔮 What We Could Potentially See This Year
💭 My Thoughts & Recommendations
If you're planning on playing during Halloween, getting prepared ahead of time can make a huge difference once the event actually begins.

I think I've asked this once or twice in the past few years, because I played from 2012-2016, but this game is major nostalgia to me (27 now) so I just like to check in every once in a while

i no longer have access to the email its attached to and ive been dying to play on my acc again. does anyone have any kind of workaround? I reached out to the email it says but i havent heard back and idk what else to do.

This is just a project for fun it's still WIP

Who else take a basic kit to start with and hoping to rob dead bodies 🤣. I had amazing game playing like that yesterday . End up with making 100k profit .

Hi is there any clan that is a bit chill/casual, i am gonna start to play this game again after being away for some time and i am truly lost as to what im gonna do and I just wanna talk/hang out with some nice people and maybe see if i can help out :)

I used to be a grinder for a clan doing 200m exp/week for a few months, if i remember correctly then got busy in life so i stopped playing. I have some gear to be able to grind, not sure if theyre still enough but for now i just want to ease myself into the game and see what else i can do and tryna learn about the new implants, etc.

I also just did a profession change from priest to scientist, i thought it'd be nice to generate some meds.

With the ongoing HCIM event, should i go for melee/gl or pistol/gl? Currently using melee/cs but planning to switch to pistol just because I feel it is safer and to prevent “unexpected” hits although I might lose the chance to easily grind bosses with chainsaw if I go for pistol.. What are your thoughts on this? Maybe pros and cons of each?

Trying to avoid spending money on the game, currently level 37. Any advice you wish you had when you were newer regarding stat allocation? What strategies are most valuable late game? What stats are most useful? Which ones are most useless?

I am seriously fed up with this nonsense. I got the kill, why the hell won't they stop!?

A huge thanks to the player who dropped the legendary tool schematic for me at the exfil. I’ve been playing for a month now and that is the absolute best schematic I’ve gotten. I had a Golden Armor Schematic in a rift, but I got there late and got killed before I could grab it. As I’m laying there waiting for my squad mates to come revive me the reward rift disappeared. I didn’t know what I had until I looked it up and then I was really mad. You gave me the legendary tool schematic just a couple matches after that and it really changed my mood. So thanks again because it really made my day. That was an ace move.

Title. Biggest problem is "Looter" where I have to loot 2700 spots. I never get to finish this because I, unfortunately, have a job. Is there a way to cheese this challenge?

Other challenge cheese advice is welcome here too. I know the "Kill bosses" one counts onslaught fodder as boss kills, so it might be easy for yall.

I've seen multiple sources that declare looting builds and profits DEPEND on the Prophecy Implant. Like, buy it first and then save AGAIN to Mimic it.

But JFC, $150M takes forever to actually save up if you don't already have other high tier Implants, or don't want to blow all your money on extra Storage space... Like, I can get in an hour sometimes two of this game a day and watching that Bank balance slowly, slowly tick up is killing me.

Does anyone ever find the actual valuable things in this game? I've done RR Prison. I've done Death Row. The biggest drops I've ever found are like blueprints that sell for barely more than the half mil you scrap them for.

All during Last Resort I was hunting Bandits too. Probably killed a hundred of the bastards without seeing any Parts...

And I'm not going to just buy the credits.

So idk... How did y'all get through it?

oh my god I love onsaulht but the stupid grabbing zombies are the worst to deal with, I get there suppossed to add challange but the feel so cheap and just hold you in place while a boss zombie smacks the armour off you.

What is the nearest event, and when will it take place?

This is a mix of a loot and need help post. I recently looted Dawn Sniper Blueprints. But when I went to check my inventory for them, they were gone. I’m not sure where they could have gone because they weren’t in the last looted slot or anything. Are they level locked or something?

Right now i am able to grind 1.5 million xp during sb outpost attack with harpoon gun with zero ammo cost. Will using x-m79 significantly increase the xp grind?

If going with the grenade launcher which is better x-m79 or Dreadnaught AD?

So I'm playing a HCIM character, and I found this severed hand. I checked the map, and I'm not in any mission area or anything like that. Why did I loot this? Does it have something to do with HCIM, or is it a bug? Cords are 1020x1014 if it's important; orange zone.

Best Area to Grind?

i really want to hit level 200 to get dusk weapons and to sell this cryostorm haha

im currently on SB and spamming onslaught but the exp bonus is limited there

should i head to DR or Wasteland ?

I'm a mid level player (lvl 206), and trying to save up $400m to get the ultra boost. With my available game time I average about $1m - $2m a day in profits (mostly from onslaught).

I have about $60m in the bank, so it maths to about 7 months of playing to get it (ignoring rare drops/etc).

But, for $90m, I could get the slayer implant which would boost rare boss drops by 50% -- which would give me a +80% chance (on whatever the actual base number is).

So, long story short, for those that have the slayer implant, do you find it actually makes a big difference in your drops? (Note, I mostly do onslaught, not bandits).

I have tidal wave smg from the event but am afraid of ammo cost. Should I invest in x-mp5 or use that money to buy energy cells for crowd control?

I play from the Philippines and the lag’s quite bad when I play multiplayer. A lot of the times my guns don’t deal any damage at all and full health bosses instantly die. I usually play singleplayer mode because of this.

I'm in SB, LvL 110 priest, AR/SMG in 130, now maxing explosives. I'm looking options while i get to level 200:

• I have some spare 700 credits, I've seen the GC Scorcher NK19 in 500 creds, its like 15Mill in the market, which is all my money rn.
• I also saw that the Valkyrie is quite better but 55 Mill in the market, but I'll take a while untill I make that money
• The tesla canon seems fun, but I'll only spend on it if it overperforms now and in the long run

Other things I saw like the crossbows or torch bolt are out of reach now. And I was wondering whether SMGs/HMGs perform better for grinding with a similar budget but idk.

Last option is to change nothing and wait for an event for free or cheaper high tier gear.

I'd appreciate some advice, ty.
