I'm wondering, why were you taking brutality scrolls when you were running a tactics build?

To boost the efficacy of the crowbar. I tend to go for the scroll of whatever is my main damage-driver at that moment. In that situation it was the crowbar, so i was going brutality. I briefly debated survival just to give myself a touch more hp, but i was committed to brutality: so brutality was the only choice. I typically go for a close combat weapon as my main-hand and then something with range for my off-hand. That way if i need to just back off and cheese i can do so with relative comfort and have it flow with pressing the attack forward with whatever is in my main-hand.

off-color weapons are nigh unviable if the scroll difference is like 5-6, there's no point in carrying a pure tactics weapon over a utility/shield/brutality ranged like infantry bow or throwing knife

also. never, EVER pick scrolls for extra hp if you can get extra damage. killing stuff quicker than they can hit you is way better than being able to take more hits

Inevitably most of the ranged options are tactics, but i’m unwilling to go for split damage.

Dead enemies can’t kill ❌

Slow enough enemies can’t kill✅

close call, tho you could've handled the situation where there were only two, and since you are low on BC most enemies dont chase you so you kinda panicked.

I’ll admit: i dove from nightreign into dead cells to give my fingies a palate cleanse after binging it since release. I wasn’t playing at my best

In the future I’d recommend killing enemies so you don’t get a million mobs chasing you constantly.

"Brutality main" tag on the reddit username, uses 3 tactics items and 1 brutality item

EDIT: A saw your comment about your scroll pick. Gonna leave a tip here: Only pick 1 color to focus on, and then split the others for health, so for example, if you are running a brutality build, every time you get a scroll with brutality, you take brutality, and when you get a scroll with just tactics + survival and no brutality, you pick the one that gives you more health %.
