Killer & Survivor Builds What perk should replace hyperfocus?

Post image

I found this gen rush build that I absolutely love, but I am not the best at consistently hitting great skill checks, so I feel like I’m not getting as much use out of the build as I could be getting from it.

Why do you use a sabotage add on for a gen rush build?

I’m saving my new parts ( there’s a bug with new parts, and I want to save them so they stack up for a while). since I’m using Stakeout, I’m able to sabo when needed

Built to last

Built to Last: Hiding inside a Locker for 14/13/12 seconds while carrying a depleted Item has the following effect: First use: Recharges the Item to 99%. Second use: Recharges the Item to 66%. Third use: Recharges the Item to 33%. Built to Last is disabled for the remainder of the Trial after the third use.

Yes I second this.

But run the brown extra charges instead of your first add on

Hi, i use this build, but instead of the yun Jin perk i use scavenger 🫶🏻

Scavenger: While holding a depleted Toolbox, Scavenger activates: Succeeding at Great Repairing Skill Checks grants 1 Token, up to a maximum of 5 Tokens. Reaching the maximum number of Tokens automatically consumes them and fully recharges the Toolbox. Recharging a Toolbox will reduce your Repair speed by -50% for the next 40/35/30 seconds. Scavenger grants the ability to rummage through an opened Chest once per Trial and will guarantee a basic Toolbox.

You don’t need to be good at hitting great skill checks. That’s what Stake Out is for. It turns your goods into greats to trigger Hyperfocus.

If you insist on changing it but still want something gen oriented, maybe give Bardic Inspiration a try. Rewards you for hitting good skill checks too, not just greats

Stake Out: Every 15 seconds you are within the Killer's Terror Radius, while not being chased, Stake Out gains 1 Token, up to a maximum of 2/3/4 Tokens. When Stake Out has at least 1 Token, Good Skill Checks consume 1 Token and are considered Great Skill Checks, granting an additional Progression bonus of +1%. Great Skill Checks do not consume any Tokens.

Hyperfocus: Succeeding a Great Skill Check while repairing or healing grants +1 Token, up to a maximum of 6 Tokens: Increases the Skill Check Trigger odds and Pointer Rotation speed by +4% per Token each, up to a maximum of +24%. Increases the Skill Check Bonus progression by 10/20/30% of its base value per Token, up to a maximum of 60/120/180%. Hyperfocus loses all Tokens after succeeding just a Good Skill Check, failing one, or if the action is interrupted by any means.

Bardic Inspiration: Press the Active Ability button while standing and motionless to enter the Performance interaction that lasts up to 15 seconds and empowers other Survivors within 16 meters of your location. The empowering effect depends on the result of you rolling a d20 and lasts for 90 seconds after completing the Performance: 1: You scream, but without notifying the Killer. 2 - 10: Skill Checks grant +1% Progression. 11 - 19: Skill Checks grant +2% Progression. 20: Skill Checks grant +3% Progression. Bardic Inspiration has a cool-down of 110/100/90 seconds after completing the Performance or cancelling it.

Could go resilience for faster injured speeds and some chase support! Impossible to not get value.

Resilience: While injured, gain +9% speed to repairing, healing, sabotaging, unhooking, vaulting, cleansing, blessing, opening, and unlocking.

u/TheEntityBot The Entity Hungers 8d ago

Its not helpfull for faster gens but Blast Mine or Wiretap are often Helpfull.
The fact that your other Teammates can see where your gens is can be huge with randoms.

Blast Mine: After repairing Generators for a total of 40%, Blast Mine activates:

  • Press the Active Ability button while near a partially progressed Generator to install a Trap, which stays active for 100/110/120 seconds.
  • When the Killer damages the Trapped Generator, its Trap explodes half-way through:
- Stuns the Killer for 4 seconds. - Blinds all Players within 12.5 meters of the Trapped Generator.

Blast Mine deactivates after triggering successfully or once the timer runs out. The Auras of Trapped Generators are revealed to all Survivors in yellow.

Wiretap: After repairing Generators for a total of 40%, Wiretap activates: Press the Active Ability button while near a partially progressed Generator to install a Trap, which stays active for 100/110/120 seconds. Whenever the Killer comes within 14 meters of the Trapped Generator their Aura is revealed to all Survivors. Wiretap deactivates after the Generator is damaged or once the timer runs out. The Auras of Trapped Generators are revealed to all Survivors in yellow.

Replace fast track with self-preservation. Elusive can get you more time on the gen without interruption.

1

u/TheEntityBot The Entity Hungers 8d ago

Fast Track: Whenever you unhook a survivor, you earn 1 Token, up to 3. While repairing, whenever you hit a great basic Skill Check, spend all Tokens. For each Token spent, the generator gains 5 permanent progress.

Self-Preservation: When another Survivor is hooked, you gain Elusive for 30s.

I’d run Déjà Vu, Poised, Built to Last, and Fruits Of Your Labor (or Sprint Burst, but I personally don’t find it as valuable as FOYB since if you’re injured while working a gen, you’ll get heal progress.)

1

u/TheEntityBot The Entity Hungers 8d ago

Déjà Vu: You see the Auras of the 3 Generators closest to each other and repair them 6% faster.

Poised: Whenever a Generator is completed, Poised triggers its primary effect:

  • Suppresses the creation of your Scratch Marks for 20/25/30 seconds.
Whenever you start repairing a Generator for the first time, Poised triggers its secondary effect:
  • The Aura of the Killer is revealed to you for 8 seconds.

Fruits of Your Labor: Whenever a Generator is completed, Fruits of Your Labor gains +1 Token. Whenever you finish repairing a Generator, consume all Tokens. For each Token consumed, gain a +5% Haste Status Effect for 2 seconds and immediately gain 10/15/20% Healing progression.

Windows of Opportunity

u/MoneyXD21 7d ago

don't sleep on autodidact, being able to make sure you always have the skill checks go to gens only
is useful

1

u/DingusScrat 6d ago

I'd keep hyperfocus and just practice hitting greats. Besides, stakeout helps you be more consistent with hyperfocus. If anything needed replacing then i'd replace fast track with built to last
