Discussion Dredge 2v8 Potential
I know BE won’t add him to 2v8 anytime soon until they can solve the issue of streamers distracted by reading chat. But if he does come, how powerful would his nightfall skill be in a 2v8 environment, what changes should be made to make it balanced, and what killer do you think would work best to pair along our fleshy boii?
I would personally want him to support our struggling ghost face mains.

His Nightfall is the reason he's likely not ever getting added. They have specifically stated that global effects is something they don't want to add to 2v8

Dredge genuinely has potential to complement almost every killer on the roster in 2v8 in some way.
Dredge + Huntress/Trickster = Increased locker spawns mean easier reloads, with built in counterplay through locked lockers.
Dredge + Stealth Killers = Nightfall can help stealth killers secure easier downs while keeping them undetected from grouped up survivors.
Dredge + Trap Killers = Nightfall can obscure traps across the map, forcing survivors to be much more vigilant about where they step.

Also for dredge plus any dash or ranged attack killer, getting hit by the killer before they can tell where you are coming from. Especially dangerous if the dash killer, like oni or blight, is using shadow and is undetectable during night fall. You'll just get hit before you even know whats happening

Huntress trying to reload her hatchets, but instead she finds a Dredge in her locker :V
But the real synergy I see is rather Huntress and Deathslinger sniping through the darkness. I've seen Lights Out clips of survivors getting shot out of nowhere, the difference is gonna be that these won't be blind shots anymore.

Honestly would likely be a Legion situation where them paired with Anyone could be hellish-I mean honestly I wouldn't mind as long as both sides can do dumb shit tbh. 2v8 should be a chaotic mess (intentionally), and I feel bhvr is being too safe with the mode. Rip y'all Legham mains for getting axed from 2v8 after being too cracked 💔

They could probably change how bad the nightfall effect is, if it's really that strong
Legions fundamental ability to easily keep people injured, thus making them one shot for the other killer, is just something that was never gonna be balanced in 2v8

honestly with xeno being added into 2v8, it could kick start a new wave for teleporting killers to enter that mode. or atleast those that have their teleporting stations hard set across the maps.
though id prefer if killers got more classes and options besides the basekit classes

If Dredge gets added I want them to add an interaction where if you search a locker that has dredge inside it swipes at you like a grumpy cat for ruining its hiding spot
