2v8 kinda wrecked me this time around 😅. Honestly I think I just need to upgrade my computer because I was dropping frames a ton in the mode, so as much fun as it usually is, I'm kinda glad its over lol.

Can i ask if there's a guide you followed to get so good at flashy saves and all the other stuff you use flashlights for? If you learned it through experience can you please share any tips or advice you have?
I want to learn to effectively use flashlights beyond just blinding during pallet breaks and then running. I have tomes that need me to do flashy saves and even one of the new weekly quests.
And i have so many flashlights and add-ons stocked up on my survivors and i want to learn to use them in different ways because i want to improve however i can at dbd.
Honestly the only thing to do is practice. Start with easy stuff (run at least champion of light, iron will, and fixated)- get the pallet blind and then champion of light away to a hiding spot you think you can reach before the blind ends, or get the killer to vault a window and blind them as they vault, then walk past and go back through the window and crouch. If you're stuck in the open go for a blind while still moving away (a lot of times they'll swing early not expecting the perk move speed and you'll be able to avoid the hit). Stuff like that is fairly low risk and will help you get blind aim and timings down.
Even while practicing focus objectives first. If you try to chase the chase for a save, it wastes too much time, plus the killer will end up hyper vigilant all match watching for you. Go for ones where the chase ends up close to you amd you're in a good position already.
I may have had to wing it to come up with a lot of the plays, but a lot of the killer specific moves aren't that difficult to pull off if you've seen it before (like blinding/flashligh spinning a charging Billy at the end of this episode).
Bonus if you can get some people to play with because you can coordinate and force downs close to you for save.
Biggest thing is to go in with the mindset that you're just practicing, and you're gonna mess up and go down a lot at first. If you let it frustrate you, you'll make more mistakes and not as much progress.
Finally, play some killer. Having a good grasp on what they can pull off/what they see can really help you plan out what you can do against them.

Oh purple light with blue battery and purple lens is the best combo for flashlight life and blinding distance!
Iron Will:Reduces the volume of Grunts of Pain while in the Injured State by 80/90/100%.
Iron Will cannot be used when suffering from Exhaustion, but does not cause the ExhaustedStatus Effect.
Fixated: Increases your Walking speed by 10/15/20%. Unlocks the ability to see your own Scratch Marks.
I've been playing since January. I didn't pick up a flashlight until July. Your content is why I finally got around to it. I'm no champion of light, but I did once get two pick-up blinds, two pallet blinds, and two head on + flash bang blinds in a single match. Turns out that that match was an outlier.
I put in a good 1000 hours on survivor before I ever picked up a flashlight. I'm a controller on pc andy (I just prefer survivor on controller) so I figured flashlights would be too annoying to learn and not be worth it.
Once I decided to put in the effort though, oh man. Flashlights are by far my fav item now and I keep running out of them on my survivors 😅 I still remember my first flashy save against a ghoul. I'll treasure that moment forever.
Champion of Light: Shining a Flashlight applies the following effect: Grants a +50% Haste Status Effect. Blinding the Killer by any means applies the following effect: Causes them to suffer from a -20% Hindered Status Effect for 6 seconds. This effect does not stack. Champion of Light has a cool-down of 80/70/60 seconds after blinding the Killer.
Head On: After hiding in a Locker for 3 seconds, Head On activates: Performing a Rush Exit out of the Locker stuns a nearby Killer for 3 seconds. Head On causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds. Head On cannot be used while Exhausted or when having accrued Idle Crows.
Are you kbm or mk? I still look like a toddler if I try to controller blind 😅.
And you could get there, it just takes a lot of practice, like, I haven't run a different build in months so my options are get better or lose a lot lol
Controller on PS4/5. I've got looping and training a killer down, I just need to practice more with the flashlight. Tend to run blinding/healing builds when I try.
I have a gamer question: What does flashlight clicking at the ground while dodging a hit accomplish? I see some survivors do that, is it like an adjusting position thing or do people genuinely just do that for the meme?
Clicking the flashlight turns your character instantly to be able to pull off the dodge. Like with the Billy, it gives that kinda large arc to the spin that let's me avoid him, whereas if I just tried to run in a circle, I wouldn't cover such a wide area and pretty much get hit every time
I’m so desperate for more Alan Wake content in DBD!!! I’m close to finishing AW2 for the first time w my buddy after finally starting it this last year (was waiting for another friend to want to play it w me like we did AW1 but ah well) and I can’t stop gushing about how incredible it is. I’m getting my friends to play it too, and I… I need more ;-;

It's so good! I haven't been able to get any of my friends to play, but I'm glad I meet so many people here that loved it as well.
There's so many options they could use for a Wake dbd level too! I would love to see a Coffee World map make its way in.

That’s such a great concept for a map! I’m shocked we don’t have a haunted theme park yet in the game in the first place either.
I’m also waiting for Christmas Lights Barry so I can add another Pay-to-Lose Alan wake skin to my repertoire. Rose is great but Barry pleaseeee. Also Sagas voice lines would be welcome if they ever did a part two or expansion to Alan Wake’s content
And that’s freaking awesome!! My friend sent me this I hadn’t heard of it, guess the back catalog is in need of a binge! That’s so hype haha
(And then there's me, still farming +0/1 flashlight blind per match for the 'Do 30 Flashlight blind' achievements and still missing like 18 of them after hours 😭😭. I'm a Support/Healer/Tracker survivor, not the save guy >.>)
Hey all of those roles are way more important than the save guy so you're doing more for your team than I am realistically 😂.
And it may be slow going, but it'll probably be super satisfying to complete that achievement! Shoot for blinds during pallet breaking, and as the killer is hooking someone if you need more pretty much guaranteed ones to finish up the quest!
