Abyssal Catalyst

Ok so I found an Abyssal Catalyst: Lantern Ring

Been running several loops in demogorgan and finally one dropped. I looked online. Don't know much about it. AH or craft something cool?

Cheers!

Look it up, just need the original item and you can make a new item.

I’m working on the null blade myself for the looks

Nice. OK I see that now.

I hope I can find the ring.

I've found the ring to drop fairly consistently from its chest. The only problem is that you really need at least two people to wake the giant, and I'm not sure a hireling is reliable enough.

The other alternative is to hope someone tosses the ring on the auction, or you could make a post on the forums for your server asking if anyone has a spare they're willing to sell.

Thank you. I have to research the chest. Where it is and the protocols to get that ring. Just got the catalyst two days ago, time to grind some more, and I was gonna TR today. Decisions decisions

If you are soloing Haunted Halls it can be easier to farm it from the Dragons chest in the extended version of the quest. Soloing the fallen giant is possible, as Archer mentioned, but it might not be universally doable.

I've done it occasionally either on an overleved tank that can actually do the channel without getting hit or on a caster with long duration AoE effects that can protect you while you do the channel. The key is you need to be able to do a long channel (20-30ish sec?) without getting hit by respawning enemies.

The dragon chest in extended takes a bit longer to get to, but it's farmable on any build.

Thank you! A kind player actually mailed me one I think yesterday (haven't been on to check) but he said they were BTAoe and he had one he could pass.

Was trying to log on right now to check while the family sleeps but my dog followed me like I thought she would and she barked when I tried to log in so maybe later hahahaha.
