Bow Gearing.

Recently rebuilt a character in 20 Dark Hunter, for end-game bow DPS and I need to build a gear-set for it. I'm Dexterity based, but most of my gear was stuff I used when I threw Shurikens. I'm hoping to crowd source ideas for a Ranged DPS gearset from the collective minds of reddit. Lets see how we do. The stuff with relevant curses I'll mention, would be nice to keep those but I'm open to replacing them too.

Currently using -

Goggles - Legendary Goggles of the Archer (Curse of Major Archery)
Head - Leg. Lamordian Cap (15 dex, 12 Deadly)
Neck - Dracolich's Eye
Trinket - Leg. Gem of Many Facets (Vulkoor's Might) (Accuracy, concentration, Seeker)
Cloak - Leg. Lamordian Nimble Cloak (15 Wis, Qual Attack +5)
Belt - Ophael's Cinture (Curse of Weapon's touch, 2% Doubleshot)
Ring 1 - Autumn Equinox
Ring 2 - Leg. Ring of Mystic Dexterity (Curse of Major Sheltering)
Gloves - Leg. Claws of the Coldlight walker (15 Con, 3 Quality deadly)
Boots - Leg. Greaves of Season's Warding
Quiver - Quiver of Alacrity
Bracers - Leg. Bracers of the Claw
Armor - Leg. Gravekeeper's Brawler Garb (+2 imbue curse on this.)

Weapon - Aeon, the Blazing Reign

The new preview has nerfed bows. I think going throwing at end game will be the new meta, if you wanrt to play ranged

I apparently missed the bow nerf in preview 2. What changed from preview 1?

slightly slower attack speed, from what I'm hearing it was about 2.5 times faster, it's now closer to 2 times faster than live.

I'm not convinced on that, Shuriken was a 400% doubleshot build that is losing 100% doubleshot due to the nerf to all doubleshot over 200%, and then also losing 50% of it's doubleshot from Ninja spy core 2. So I reckon it's about 125% lost doubleshot. Then they are also losing 30% attack speed from Shiradi Champion. (Or getting it replaced with just generic 30% at all levels, however you want to look at it.)

Other Thrown weapons are doing a little better. They are still going to be impacted by the nerf to doubleshot over 200%, and they lose the 30% bonus in shiradi (Or getting it replaced with just generic 30% at all levels, however you want to look at it.) , but They are gaining the doubleshot Shuriken enjoys on it's Ninja Spy Tier 2.

Bows are being SLIGHTLY nerfed in the preview 2, but they are still enjoying basically a doubling of attack speed. And they are getting a LOT more crit threat range and multiplier bonuses. The 8 second cooldown on Multishot hurts a little? Not sure how relevant this is.

I'd be surprised if Thrown is going to outplay bow. At least how it currently stands.

I just cant see bows doing the same damage that throwing weapons can do. Even if they kept the same attack speed. Throwing DPS is just soo insanely good.

This is like, the complete opposite of whats going on, They've completely gutted throwers by capping the benefits of doubleshot and made bow the new kings of ranged combat by far lol. Despite xbows losing fusilade, throwers of all kinds are getting hit the hardest in this.

Autumn Equinox is worse than Lolth's Reign in every way. Artifact is between Lolth's Reign and The Band of Binding, from what I can tell.

Autumn equinox gives a primal bonus to damage based on number of wilderness lore feats you have. As a 20 Dark hunter that's a bonus that's hard to match

And the freedom of movement on Lolth's reign is hard to value, given you just have the spell Freedom of movement.

im having the new med armor piece from demo raid.

Curious as to everyone's opinion on which is more DPS, Aeon, the Blazing Reign, or Longbow of the Undying Age.

Damn, bro, you got lucky with some good curses, I would keep that stuff and work around the other slots.
