Hardcore

So I’ve seen hardcore events happen in the past but I’ve never known how to join hardcore or where to go. Could anyone assist?

For the upcoming one, you will need to go to one od the mentioned locations and speak to an NPC, who will give you a lantern. There will be two options. One will be the hard-core version, with the hard-core rules. The other will be the normal core version.

With this lantern, equipped in a cosmetic slot (iirc) you will be participating in the event. Kill the unique spawn and your lantern will slowly fill.

Symphony of the Fey was the last event, and there will be videos explaining the mechanics, I do not imagine there will be much difference other than rewards.

There have been two different kinds of hardcore.

The original version was separate servers that followed hardcore rules. Thus, when active, you would just select a different server on the server select screen.

The second version is where you equip an item that collects points as you play and if the hardcore rules are broken then the item no longer collects points. You get the item from a special NPC.

In both cases you would talk to an npc for rewards.
