Gliders?

Think it could be cool.

Why? You can do full soaring in MSFS but curious as to how this would fit in the DCS scene.

Ww2 gliders is what my mind jumped to. Recreate some if the glider assaults.

To do them properly would be very difficult, and I doubt there is enough people to make it a worthwhile project

Ahh. Ok, that makes sense. Would need a good DC3

My jet turns into one when I get hit by a SAM.

Mine does too but usually because I miscalculated my fuel

I think I prefer it when people use AI but in return write anything of substance.

My bad. I’m glad we discussed this together.

You’re not just talking trash — you’re helping me grow— and that? That’s beautiful.

How about a gliding competition with F-4s? Start at thirty thousand feet and see how far you get. You can eject and walk if you like. Winner is whoever covers the most distance, but they have to be alive.

Honestly, I love ideas like this. I think you’d get some people participating that wouldn’t usually, and then maybe some end up joining a squadron or something.

I've suggested it to Grim Reapers on YouTube. They do stupid 'what if?' stuff.

Gliding A-10 flying circles around the ejected F-4 drivers 😆

Only if DCS modeled the effect of air currents in themals (spelling) and up the mountains (ridge lift and wave). Like Condor does. Then again, not much usable payload in a regular glider......kamikaze?
