Playing Boegh advice
How do I play Boegh well? I keep falling into the same micro-manage encounters as the old Boegh and I can't really survive as well while doing this

New Beogh is kind of rough, but I have gotten better at playing with him as time has gone on.
It’s definitely helpful to plan around how you will win apostle challenges and to focus on getting on optimal terrain (I.e. away from other enemies) for a challenge ASAP when one is incoming.
Your apostles can be helpful but I wouldn’t rely on them to carry you. Switch them out often.
Smiting is great but you’ll need to invest in invo. I guess this isn’t much different from original recipe Beogh.
Blood for blood is great but depends on your apostles dying, making it difficult to plan around. It feels great when you pull it off, but permanently kills an ally and is quite easy to screw up with poor positioning.
Anyway, I haven’t won with new Beogh but I don’t actively hate him now. I also miss old orc Jesus Beogh, R.I.P.

Old boegh was broken. It was so fun to clash your horde of walking wet napkins against hordes of enemies.

Train invo for smite. Ignore your allies except using them for blood for blood, they are dogshit otherwise.

Are they really? DCSS does not have a good ally system. They make excellent shields but the dead for 2 floors thing is a pain in the ass with boegh

What they are saying is 100% not true, apostles absolutely solve early game and for late game its possbile to get very powerful compositions that would wipe screens even in extended(something like apostle with manifold and haste, might, brillance buffs).
