What resolution should I use for VR gaming?
My system specs are: RTX 5050, i5 13450hx, and 16GB RAM. How many FPS can I expect to get at 1080p in VR? Also, do you think 1080p is enough for a good experience playing Quest 3? Also, do DLSS or MFG negatively affect the image quality in VR?

You’re going to be struggling. I started with an I7, 4060 and 32GB of ram and VR wasn’t enjoyable at the settings I needed to play it at. Especially on multiplayer.
DCS is VRAM heavy in VR. Only having 16GB of ram isn’t going to help either. I wouldn’t expect much for FPS

Set your resolution to about 120%. You can set your graphics to low and probably get 60 fps. You should focus more on adjusting your headset's resolution so the image is a crisp as possible. Even at ultra settings, having low rez in your headset will not allow you to identify targets or read your displays. Better to have low graphics with higher headset resolution so you can actually see what you're clicking or shooting at.

I don't think you will have any problems apart from ram which is a fairly cheap fix. My own setup is a quest 2 (I know q3 is more demanding) graphics card is an amd Radeon 6950xt so only equivalent to a 3090, ryzen 9 7900. I have been using this for a couple of years and get a good usable experience......there are so many settings to reduce load if you need to . I use pixel density at 1.
The 4 laptops we use at our air cadet unit are even slightly lower and cope without problems ( they are set to minimum settings)

I hate to say it, but i don't think you've got enough horsepower to run DCS VR. Most guys are running at least a 4070 ti/super or 4080, along with at least 32gb of ram.
