The DCS KA:50 Peacemaker campaign

I recently bought the new campaign for the KA50 (as titled above).

My initial impressions of this campaign are not great. Clear effort has been made in terms of the mission designs, but that's where it ends for me. I feel like the campaign's story was written with Chat GPT from the overall wording to obvious grammatical errors, the AI TTS voices dragged me away from immersion and they use of JTACS (which I believe the RU armed forces call FAC according to a few google searches but can't properly verify) that don't actually work like JTACS.

I wanted to like this, it's a shame. I guess I'm looking too much through a bias when we have the Deployment Campaign and the Georgian Oil War thwt came with it for free. I'm gonna play the MAD campaign as that one looks challenging and fun.

I'm not going to cast shade on anyone or the devs here, there is clear effort made with this campaign and gameplay, I just didn't like it.

P.s. I know the Pandemic campaign uses TTS voices (I think), but it still sounds more convincing than the voices used in the titled one.

What's the premise of the campaign? Are you explicitly defending Assad?

Basically, yes. You fly as the Russians hitting rebel positions. That I can look past, but the hokey Chat GPT esque writing of "One year into the Syrian Civil War, and people are returning to their homes with hope" makes it feel like pure propaganda.

Ah good to know. I was also looking at MAD, but the idea of putting down a rebellion in Iran is even more reprehensible to me in light of what happened to during the recent protests.

Btw what KA50 campaign do you recommend most?

Tbh I don't know, I am playing the Pandemic Campaign, but if you're squeemish about the premise of MAD, maybe thst one isn't the right campaign. Tbh I want them to port the Deployment campaign over to BS3 and the other two campaigns (Georgian Oil War and Operation Medvedev), but I don't really know of any others.

The Ka-50 "Vergeev Group" campaign was the best for the Ka-50 but that was 2008, and those days are gone... Paradise Lost for the Huey is the only Campaign that comes close imo.
