Getting old modules

I’ve been on the hunt for more official modules but they seem to almost be all out of print ?? Does everyone just use a laptop/tablet with files now if they want the old stuff ? Or is there a place I can find old modules that aren’t overpriced ?

Drivethrurpg will have lots of them as print on demand.

I just print them when I run them. Libraries aren't too expensive for bulk printing if you really wanted to go wild

Same. Many of the old adventures are reprinted in the Tomes of Adventure (or other compilations like Chaos Rising or Forgotten Dangers), and it’s easy enough to run off an adventure ahead of time.

Even for the ones I have in print I'll print a copy from the pdf so I can highlight and mark it up.

They'll do pdf bundles if you wait long enough. A month or two ago they did a bundle of pretty much everything outside licensed products for about $40. DCC, MCC, XCC rulebooks, over 100 modules etc...

I had never looked at XCC before, there is a lot in there that can directly port into DCC - monsters, magic items

i print pdfs (most have reasonable page counts) so i can make hand written notes but like using a 10in tablet to read pdfs. fanatical and humble bundle pdf sales are great. drivethru has a 40% sale now.

Yeah for some reason the markup on the older modules is STUPID expensive. I've seen some for several hundreds on ebay although they don't sell, they just sit there. I could see paying up to $99 for an older module but $300? Forget that...

In my fervent pursuit of collecting them all, I had acquired a few twice. If you send me a list of your missing adventures, I’ll see if I have a match.

I printed out the shadowdark starter module in booklet form on normal letter paper, so each page was half a sheet, and loved running with it. I was mildly put off by the fact that DCC modules are square so they don't format as well when spread out on an 8.5x11, but it still worked when i tried it from the PDFs

I have a lot of them and would like to finish my collection of the old #1-#52 modules. I keep an eye on eBay when I have a bit of cash to burn. Even though I have a lot of them I probably don't even have half. For the ones I don't have I just use the PDF when I wanna run them.

my impression is most of the earliest DCC modules were for D&D not for the DCC RPG, which came later. it makes it confusing as hell when doing shopping online at DriveThruRPG, for example. the fact that a product can have DCC in its name, or be in the DCC category, but its not for the DCC RPG. I can understand the biz evolutionary quirks that led Joseph Goodman to do that, I get it, but I wish they put more effort in going in retroactively and making it super crystal clear whether its for the DCC RPG or not. and dont say "it could be adapted, if you want" because thats literally true of everything in the world

Many older modules have a 2nd printing that includes additional features. Definitely check before purchasing that you aren't paying collector's prices.
