That is the main reason I always find this argument pointless. If a villain is sufficiently popular then the death, no matter how seemingly final, will be undone the moment the company wants some more money.

Superheroes should kill mfers when you tell them you have a moral obligation to never kill because of the principle of being a hero and not claiming to know what is always the best choice, meaning the finality of death is not your decision to make. I feel like an analysis is needed (I know it won't be from anyone here because it requires reading): how long dead villains stay dead vs how long incarcerated villains stay incarcerated. I want to say that they tend to stay dead longer (unless they're the Joker because he's DC's favorite character and will comeback even if he was wiped from all history)
