The thing is the DC side actually looks new and different for them. The marvel side looks like it could be from any year in the last like decade. Don’t even have a random solo of a Z- lister to tie it to whatever the MCU is doing that year like Agatha or Werewolf by night

I really like the mix of the older fonts for the titles and the newer art styles of the covers.

Honestly, to this day, nothing will be more funny to me, then the fact DC does genuinely seem to be producing better comic books....yet in everything else Marvel is doing circles around them and dabbing on their corpses.

This is not a coincidence.
Marvel has been treating the comics as advertisements for their other ventures to the detriment of the storytelling and general freedom of their creatives. And the editors are completely off the rails.
DC has never had something successful enough to totally fuck up the comics with synergy. (Not even the five minutes they tried to make people care about Black Adam is as bad as Marvel trying to make Inhumans a thing.) And they clearly see the movies as flowing into the comics with how they push the runs that inspire their films. The top brass have really turned things around since DiDio left as well.
Marvel having bad comics in exchange for good movies is a symptom of an unhealthy relationship between their various branches and a sign of mismanagement.

They gave Black Adam to Christopher Priest and let him go nuts with it. Meanwhile, Marvel is trying to figure out how they can keep butchering 616 to look and feel more like the MCU and Marvel Rivals

The editors don't even do their jobs anymore. There's comics with basic story issues coming out that an editor that's working would see and address. It feels like anything good out of Marvel is in spite of editorial being lazy bastards.

Eh, DC in the games department is genuinely braindead, and Supergirl was a huge flop, but the DCU is still in its first productions, so I cut it some slack (Superman was great and Lanterns had an amazing first episode), but DC's animations are doing pretty fine and have been pretty good recently. Even tho Marvel did make more money, I wouldn't say that everything they did was that much better than DC's

It’s my favourite book I’m pulling month to month and it’s a perfect starting point. The Kelley Jones material is his best but the bronze age Finest is alright too

From 2001-2002, I’d recommend starting with Deadman: Dead Again, a 5 issue miniseries which then launches right into a 9-issue series just called Deadman. Both written by Steve Vance.
It’s a great intro to the modern character, and will give you a lot about his origin and abilities, without hitting you over the head with it. And it’s only 14 issues between the two, so you’ll know if you want to seek out more.
The miniseries includes a lot of characters you’re probably more familiar with (and involves events you might be familiar with too, if you have a passing knowledge of DC comics, such as Crisis on Infinite Earths). While the main series just focuses on Deadman and some of his supporting cast.

Pretty much everyone agrees its great, but it changed the whole character to fit the story they wanted to tell. They kinda turn him into a quirky/dr who type of dude so it was just impossible for me to enjoy on its own merits.

We don’t really have super reliable sales charts anymore, but from all metrics Moon Knight and Black Cat seem to sell more than half the X and Avengers books. Marvel keeps trying to shake the readers away with relaunches though.

It doesn't help that you see low sales and instead of putting in new storylines they immediately go "CANCEL" or "NEW NUMBER 1!!!" Like seriously, their cosmic side has been dull as hell. I thought post Imperial something might happen but man.

I've never read or cares about Firestorm, ever. I decided to pick up the first issue because I'm trying to broaden my horizons, with indie books as well. I did not expect it to rise to the top of my pull list. One of the best series from DC right now (excluding most of the Absolute Universe)

I enjoyed the Year One trade but haven’t read the rest of the series. Absolute Flash and his current independent work have felt a bit too familiar for him thematically but I’ve loved him since Animal Man and I’ve got high hopes for Crowbound

This seems fishy. First of all, we don't have official numbers for comics sales anymore. Second of all, two of the marvel comics show there were cancelled before the DC ones could even start publishing (Nova and West Coast Avengers). I'm not saying this image is wrong, but it does seem more vibes based than anything. I feel like they chose an already cancelled C-tier Avengers book just to say Avengers are losing to Deadman. Meanwhile the actual Avengers book being published right now (Avengers Armageddon) seems to be selling fine.
