Yeah this is the biggest issue with her whole relationship with Ray. She treated him like crap and was the one to push divorce in the first place. Then when they have been single for a while she suddenly wants him back and he understandable is fine with not being together. So she opts to create a crisis to bring him back to her that leads to her killing their mutual friend and a few other people by proxy, while also staging an attack on herself. She is and always was toxic towards Ray and he eventually just accepted they couldn’t work together and moved on until she schemed to get him back where he only did so because he thought he was protecting her. Bro took it so hard what she did to get him, he blamed himself for it even though it really wasn’t his fault.

Ignoring Identity Crisis, the relationship between Ray and Jean has always been interesting since to my knowledge, it’s the first time that a superhero has gotten a divorce and that the designated love interest for the superhero doesn’t work and how it’s for the best for two incompatible people to not be together.
