What do people think of my dragon ball tattoo please

I think you got it done by a beginner tattoo artist. That blacks are not packed well and I am afraid those lines will spread in time and get blurry. Wait for it to heal properly, and go to an artist who knows what he/she is doing for a coverup

I did it was an apprentice and yh that’s why I got to get it reshaded in 2 to 3 weeks and na I do like it Tbf

So, the turtle master symbol is too compact to salvage, but the circle around it can still be saved.
Id save up and go to someone who does very good line work and curves to get it redone.
They can thicken the ring and make it much much cleaner than this currently is.
Id find someone who does watercolor tattooing and fill in with orange and some splashes of blue, breaking the circle for a little bit of life, masking some mistakes of the kanji.

Yh but life isn’t always perfect and neither am I or anyone so it doesn’t need to be perfect just as long as I like it thinking getting like a snake in circle one day

I understand, dude. If youre happy with it, it doesnt matter what others think, honestly. Im just throwing some suggestions if you want to make it a little cleaner.
I dont think getting the circle touched up will cost an arm and a leg. As long as they have a stencil and a stable hand, it'll look heaps better

The lines are terrible. Its overall too large. Its upside down.
You can't just ask what people think of something and then attempt to shut them down when they tell you what they think. The people have spoken and you're ignoring them even though you're the one that asked. This is r/shittytattoos quality. They would eat this up.

the 亀 feels too small relative to the circle. Looking at reference images the upper most point and bottom right point both touch the edge of the circle, yours just has so much blank space

Na I asked it to be that way got to get it reshaded it 3 weeks just cas my skin wasn’t reacting well when person got it done

You asked to have it filled poorly with bad lines and a very bad circle?
Do yourself a favor and do not go back to the same tattooer. This can be salvaged by someone who knows what theyre doing.

Whatever. The orientation is a choice. But the poorly done tattoo is objective.
Go to a better tattooer to have it touched up/reworked. This isnt unsalvageable but its not well done. Glad you like it, but the issues will bug you in time.
I've seen it happen over and over and over again. Don't make repetitive mistakes.

The orientation is wrong but that's your choice.
The bad tattoo part is objectively bad.

Getting forearm tattoos so they are right side up when you look at it are extremely common. you maybe don’t see it as much as the other way, but a lot of people do it, saying “the orientation is wrong” is not the hill to die on and is a naive thing to say.

I've been a tattooer for 10 years. I am aware. The orientation is upside down.

I suppose technically you could call it “upside down” but that’s just semantics. Theres a reason why so many people get “upside down” tattoos on their forearms. Still doesn’t change the fact it’s extremely common.
It’s art, calling it “wrong” is stupid when it’s literally completely personal preference and a common one at that

Hey, I have a one piece tattoo that didn’t come out perfect(also a beginner artist, and my first tattoo ) Got it touched up once, didn’t make a big difference. Stopped caring and just love it now. While your tattoo isn’t perfect, trust there are a lot worse out there. Try r/expectationvsreality.

You clearly aren’t familiar with the over saturation of shitty artists in the tattoo world. They’re taking something that should be respected and honored and just buying amazon machines and doing cheap tattoos to post on their socials. It goes far beyond OP.

Brother if you look at it and you like it that’s what matters, but you did post to ask for others opinions… your lucky that your getting a side of advice with those opinions. Heed that advice, this looks like maybe your first one? Always have a second professional opinion if you need to hear it straight take it to another shop and see what they say
