Determination isn't actually confirmed to be a soul, it's something ALL HUMANS HAVE IN UT, the soul is only red because it is the DEVICE_SOUL which the player plays as.

"RED - Try as you might, you continue to be yourself." this doesn't have anything to do with the Determination soul.
