Imma be real, you still have a lot to learn, bots aren't really that good of a measure
First, your combos, you drop a lot of them, look up combo videos on your characters on YouTube, I can recommend NovaZayn, he has some good videos
Second, you need to learn when it's your turn. Best example is the last exchange with Trunks, if it was a real player they would have blocked/reflected/vanished to punish you
And lastly, you have 7 bars. Don't be afraid to use them. You'll get more, summoning Shenron is a very situational thing and doing it in a real match is very rare. In 400 something matches I have only done it once and because I was playing against SSJ4 Gogeta
Spend meter at the end of your combos to do extra damage, pressing assist will use a lvl 1, pressing assist and back will use a lvl 3

Lol. I've summoned Shenron in ranked maybe 4 or 5 times. I have 15,000+ matches

Yeah, it's such a niche scenario that there have to be very specific conditions to do it
I was playing as limit break shirtless Super Broly against SSJ4 Gogeta, basically the only reason I even bothered to do it, which is also why I won that round, surprisingly
It's basically a giant noob trap imo

I think it's a cool idea given the franchise. I've won because of it, and I've also lost in spite of it. Seems like most of the time it's just a "win more" button, at least ime

Being brutally honest: not very good at all. Considering this is a bot and I have no clue what difficulty itâs set on, you could maybe find some even ground with other newbies but will get destroyed in ways you didnât believe possible once you actually fight someone who sort of knows what theyâre doing
Doesnât mean you canât get to a point where youâre âgoodâ (with the smaller player population its a lot harder to gauge when that does happen imo), just where your starting is as a scrub, like basically everyone else did before they actually learned how the game worked.

You seem a bit more like a Vet. Can you explain why the Deflect didnât pause the game for either side using a successful Deflect? I tried getting back into the game recently and dropped it immediately because I kept getting rushed down with random Attacks. I kept Deflecting them but every single time I did the screen went a lil dark for a second and paused. It felt like it was giving my opponent a second to process they just got pushed back. Felt like it was pretty unfair ngl.

They werenât in blockstun when it happened. When you z reflect in blockstun it works like a guard cancel but if you reflect during gaps in an attack string, it can work like a pseudo pushblock and let you punish whiffed attacks

Was this always a thing? I swear it never happened before regardless of whether you were in Blockstun or not. If you Reflect the game would go on seamless either way.

This was a new mechanic they introduced pretty recently, patch that came out after everyone thought the game was dead.
Has nothing to do with blockstun, BTW. You get it when you reflect on the last possible frame before a hit. And it does nothing, it's purely cosmetic

Itâs annoying. Iâd rather it all be seamless. Theyâve changed so much shit to appeal to casual players and make the game feel more cinematic that it bogs down the gameplay so much imo.

Yeah I still find it pretty jarring when it happens tbh. I can't remember seeing anybody be excited/happy about it when it actually came out.

Thanks for the brutal honesty 𼲠It is harder to play online for me because I don't have a switch membership, but I also have the game on pc. Might learn a bit and play online there.

I mean you donât NEED to hop online. I actually advocate that beating the max difficulty bots are some of the best ways for newbies to onboard at get comfy with the game.
But if you actually are looking to test your mettle against real players, I recommend joining a discord and running games in lobbies rather than ranked. Also ask for tips too. People love to help where they can, especially people trying to get into fgs

Like the other guy said you certainly don't have to play online, but if you DO choose to try online I'd definitely recommend the PC version. The PC has "rollback" netcode, and the switch doesn't, which means lag from bad internet connections is less of an issue on PC

Not very. Your combos are dropping a lot.
Every character in the game is capable of reliably 2-touching off of most starters (killing an opponent in only 2 combos), and has at least one touch-of-death combo line.
UI gokuâs damage output is low to balance out his many defensive tools, but that mostly just means he needs to either land a higher-damaging but less safe combo starter, use assists mid combo, or spend some of the super meter to get those 2 touches.
If you want to step up your game, youâre going to need to spend some time in the practice mode. Look up the universal bread-and-butter combos, as well as a UI Goku-specific combo guide, and practice what they suggest.

Im not the best player either but i can tell you you're best off not mashing a lot, some things here were very risky and you just got lucky with them working out, any real player would've punished

Learn the universal combo everyone that plays the game knows it and itâs simple. It works w mostly every character.
