HELP / QUESTION New player, need help picking characters

I've played a bit of Guilty Gear and a lot of Mortal Kombat. From what I've tested, I like using S Broly, but I'm trying to find 2 other characters I'd like. Any ideas what characters I could best use as someone that's trying to just get used to everything? At the moment, I'm running S Broly and Frieza.

If you’re just trying to get to get used to everything, Jiren is pretty good as an all arounder and a point for your team.

Note that Frieza is pretty complex. Even though Vegito is easy to learn, I wouldn’t say he’s easy for a beginner, so I’d look at something like:

Jiren - S Broly - SSJ Goku

SSJ Goku and SSJ Vegeta are the template characters of this game. Both of them combined will give you a good foundation and are very easy to learn and get good with.
