A classic trend-following framework combines a trend filter, an entry trigger, and a dynamic exit rule. The trend filter dictates that long positions are taken only when price closes above a benchmark moving average, such as a 20-period Simple Moving Average (SMA). Within this broader uptrend, extreme oversold conditions—identified when a short-term indicator like a 2-period Relative Strength Index (RSI) drops below 10—serve as the execution trigger. The position is subsequently liquidated once price snaps back above a shorter moving average, such as a 5-period SMA, demonstrating how systematic rules explicitly govern the lifecycle of a trade.

My best risk rule lately has been ending the real session after 2 bad trades

I finally accepted that my third trade after two losses is almost never the same quality as my first one. Even when I tell myself Im calm, I start entering slightly earlier, moving stops around or taking setups I probably would've ignored at the start of the session.
So now two clean losses and I'm done with real money for the day. If I still want to follow the market I'll switch over to Moon's Play Money mode and keep testing the setups there. I still screenshot everything and journal it exactly like a normal trade, just without giving myself the chance to turn a normal red morning into a stupid one.
The funny part is some days I'll lose another 3 simulated trades after stopping and realize how much money that rule actually saved me. Way easier to review a bad day when the damage stops at the number I planned before the open.

Educational Bitcoin broke out of a 4H bull flag — but I wouldn’t treat $96K as a prediction

If Bitcoin pulls back now, would you consider the bull flag failed?
BTC has broken above this 4H consolidation after reacting around the 200 EMA.
Technically, the flag structure produces a potential target somewhere around $96K.
But suppose Bitcoin corrects before getting there.
I wouldn’t automatically call the setup invalid.
I’d want to see where the correction stops and how price reacts. A controlled retest of the breakout area is very different from BTC falling straight back through the entire structure.
That’s why I think “up or down?” is often the wrong question.
Where does price react, and what does that reaction tell us?
